worked perfect
worked and fit for my PennPlax Cascade 1200 filter. the only problem was one of the little rubber caps on the end wouldn't fit back into slot so I just used the piece from old one!

Product Review
I have three of the Penn-Plax 1500 Cascade Canister Filters on my 265 gallon aquarium, and am pleased with their performance, but the little rubber grommets that are located on both ends of the impeller shaft I either lost during cleaning or the broke apart from use. Either way I had to replace time. Could not find just the grommets, so emailed Penn-Plax and inquired. Was informed had to buy the entire impeller assembly to get just the grommets, that is my only complaint. Had to spend extra money for parts I did not need. Other than that, all good

Works on my penn-plax 1200 canister filter
Used this for my penn-plax 1200. Actual part I should have got is the CCF315 (didn't know before purchase) but this impeller is working and has 10-fold decreased the volume of my filter. 4 stars as I'm not sure if any grinding is happening since it is the wrong part and this impeller may go bad on my filter quicker but if you have the 1500 this one is for it. Thanks for the product!

perfect fit!
If you have a Cascade 1500 canister filter and it sounds like there's gravel in the pump = most likely you need this product. My filter sounded just awful! It woke me up a couple times with new and very loud grinding noises... So I bought this part and installed it; sure enough, that fixed my filter! My 1500 runs as quietly as it ever did. To replace it: ~Locate the impeller on the Cascade 1500 ~give the round retainer a 1/4 turn and remove it ~Pull out the old impeller assembly ~Use a paper towel / rag and clean out as much gunk as you can from the pump ~Verify this new impeller matches the one you just took out ~Drop in the new impeller ~Tighten down the retainer cap so it is snug I posted a video clip of this on you-tube: Just search "cascade 1500 impeller"... it should be the top result. In summary: I say 5 stars out of 5. The price is reasonable, it is an easy part to install and it was exactly what I needed to fix my filter.

Does NOT FIT the PennPlax Cascade 700.
This impeller, contrary to the description, DOES NOT fit the Penn-Plax Cascade 700. It's too long. I have a larger tank where I use a Cascade 1000, I'll see if this fits THAT model and if so, I'll keep it for a spare. Otherwise, I need to return this one and search for the CORRECT part for the 700. Ugh.

Should've done it sooner!
I have two Cascade 1500s and one of them sounded like a busted up garbage disposal. This part fixed the problem and now I'm going to buy another one for my other pump.

Please don’t smash
At first it came in with bent blades. I was pretty aggravated about this since I had waited to do water changes and clean filter for this thing to arrive, only to arrive bent. I gently bent the blades into place and it works better now.

For under $20, it's worth it.
For this cheap, it's worth it to have a spare. The Cascade 1500 is amazing to begin with, but i found that little black plastic nub on the bottom of the impeller came off way too easily, however, it has not effected the operation of the filter(i have a 125Gallon Tank)

Fast delivery
Fixed my noisy canister filter right away. Easy to install. Planning to order another before I develop another problem as I have 2 of these filters. From what I see on YouTube, they seem to last a year before needing to be replaced.

Not compatible with Cascade 1000
Im sure that it would work, but it is not compatible with the Cascade 1000 filter like it said on the item. It is too long.

Please remove Cascade 1000 from the description as it doesn’t work for that filter. I had to return mine because it was too big. This is for Cascade 1500.
