Best Flat Iron up to date
I’ve been looking for a flat iron for a long time and I finally started doing some research. This is by far the best flat iron i am using in a long time. My hair is very curly, comparable to 4b/4c hair and after Blow drying (which I never get my hair straight enough because it’s so thick) one to two passes and my hair is bone straight. I was shocked! This flat iron has my hair looking like I went out and got a silk press! Ceramic plates over titanium for my hair type worked for me. Heats up in about 60 seconds, the cord is long and goes up to 450 degrees. I stayed around 350 because I didn’t want to burn my hair but overall I highly recommend.

It’s ok
I had high hopes for the brand and reviews but it’s honestly just ok.. I do feel my hair straightens out with less passes but it’s constantly snagging my hair and the plastic feels soooo cheap. I feel if this fell off my counter it would shatter. My hair is long and thick so I got the bigger one and even using small sections it just snags and pulls so badly. I do think it works well but what time savings I do get using less passes is lost by having to do smaller sections piece by piece to not pull my hair

Best Buy. Better than titanium for kinky hair
The media could not be loaded. Looked like I got my hair done at a salon. One pass on 410 degrees and it was bone straight. I used olaplex products and Paul Mitchell heat protectant. This flat iron didn’t pull but kept the perfect amount of tension and grip. I love this and got it in 1 1/4 inch

Quick to straighten but catches on hair
Pros: springy handle, heats quickly, straightened my fine hair with one sweep and pretty low heat, auto off feature, small plug so it only takes up one outlet Cons: so lightweight that it feels cheap (I double checked my order to make sure I hadn’t ordered a knock off!), catches my hairs between the heat plate and the handle so that they rip out of my head no matter how careful I am

Worth it!
I was looking for a workhorse straightener and this is it. So far, so great. This gets the job done. I don’t know why I waited so long to purchase. Worth it! Hair feels great after using and looks good. Highly recommend!

It's ripping my hair out!!!
I've owned a FHI Heat straightener for the last 8 years and loved it. When it finally stopped working, I decided to buy the same brand but thought a 1.25" would get me out of the bathroom quicker. From the first pass of hair thru this contraption, it has managed to rip tens of hairs out of my head at every pass!! I have thick curly hair that I only wear straight and it literally hurts every time I try to straighten it now! I don't know if it's just this item, this model or the whole brand but if I can figure out how to send it back, I will be doing so before it makes me bald or too frizzy to leave the house!!

Super light weight and perfect. I bought a cheaper brand before and the plates didn’t close properly. This works quick and I like the width for this one better than one inch iron. I have had FHI for over 10 years and it’s worth the investment.
