Not Whimpy
Not many people are aware that their extension cords are generally pretty wimpy amps-wise. For example, your common, garden variety heated carpet cleaning machine uses 15 amps while running with the heater. You can use a 16-3 cord but it's probably not rated for 15 amp service. If you use a saw, many of them are 15 amps. So you want to string your cut-off saw or portable table saw to the back yard for some Sunday remodeling and if you do not have an extension cord that can handle 15 amps your saw isn't getting all the power it needs, will run slow and it is tough on the motor, shortening its life. So I needed a 15 amp extension (14-3 wire), to run a multi-plug bar for my work bench, but only for a few feet - like 9 of them. Try finding that at you local Big Box that isn't 25 feet long. I hate over-buying on something like this too. The Fellowes extension was perfect for my needs. Indoor only and that's OK, a nice rugged covering yet flexible and just the perfect size. works great. Nice quality piece.

Small Apartment? Outdated Wall Outlets? Perfect Solution!
I live in a rather small apartment and the power outlets are very outdated. They are so outdated that when the AC is running and the vacuum is being used, the power will instantly max out and cause a power outage. Thus only resolving this problem by using one major electric tech at a time. I have recently discovered however, that my apartment has outlet gaps. Meaning, certain outlets in my house can max out a separate surge without being joined or connected with multiple surges in the house. After finding out which outlets can maintain themselves, the next conflict was being able to join the other house appliances to reach these outlets. Well, problem solved thanks to Amazon! Simple enough, ordered these extensions cables and managed to get the power at a stable rate in my apartment! Yippie! Simple enough, fair price, and fast shipping. Amazon covers all my needs! Would buy again! The cable is as basic as it gets. 9 feet in length. Thick in size because it is heavy duty, and color is as picture shows. Even comes with a cap to cover the grounding plug. Very nice!

Good standard heavy duty cord
Very good heavy duty extension cord. It is nicely flexible and the plug stays firmly plugged in. My only wish is that the cord came out of the plug at 90 degrees rather than 180, as it would be hard to use 2 of these on one outlet. Of course if you have two high amp things plugged in to the same outlet you'll probably trip the breaker, but I'd like to have that choice.

pretty hefty flat plug cable
I needed a flat plug extension cord to run along the wall behind a series of bookshelves and power a surge protector. This cord does that fairly well and the color matches my wall so it goes mostly unnoticed for the parts where it isn't hidden by furniture. The cable is pretty hefty as well, which is nice and makes me feel it will last a while. Overall I'm pleased with the purchase and would buy it again.

Amazon's Description was Incorrect - the extension is Grey
This review is more about Amazon's descriptions, which I am finding to be frequently incorrect to the point where the pleasure of purchasing via computer is outweighed by the reality of not knowing what EXACTLY you're purchasing. In the details Amazon clearly says this 9 ft extension cord is white. When I received it, it was grey. The cord itself seems well made and was packed so that the prongs were protected with plastic. The neck on both ends is secure and plug is flat. My only objection to the extension cord is that I could not find any specs printed on the cord itself. A year or two from now when the wrapper is long gone, I'll have no way of knowing how many amps etc. the cord really is. The name Fellowes does not actually appear on the cord either

14 gauge - 15 amps at 9 feet.
Met my needs, needed a short extension for a power strip on my desk. It's for 6 small loads about 100 watts max. The cord can carry way more, but it was flat short and right shape. Could of gone cheaper, but I figured I could reuse it somewhere else if I went ahead and bought extra.

There's not a thing wrong with this extension cord EXCEPT for the fact that in the package or product it is almost impossible to have the absolutely essential information of wire gauge used in the cord. The cord packaging says it is "heavy duty," but that's a bit like having "high Speed" Internet without further definition. The wire gauge should be on every box, wrapper, or other informational piece. End of rant.
