Nice big bowl

First of all, this bowl is huge, big enough for a great dane! I bought this for my outdoor birds and squirrels in the wintertime. I purchased another style from a different seller awhile ago with an on/off switch on the top, and that one only lasted two months because melted snow got under the switch and fried out the computer board. This one is simple, no switch, if you have it plugged in, it is heating. The bowl is a very nice heavy duty plastic and the cord has a metal wrap, definitely for outdoor use. Love it so far, all of my animals are getting fresh water!

Good product

This kept water on deck liquid except the days that went to 4 degrees. I love that the bowl lifts out to bring in to clean.

No more ice blocks after freezing nights

It's a challenge to provide water for outdoor animals when the temperatures drop below freezing overnight. This get even harder when the temperatures don't get above freezing for more than a day or two or more. These bowls won't keep the water warm but will keep it from freezing. If you have have livestock that need warm water then you need a different product, but this one is great for making sure the wildlife and community cats can get a drink when the temperatures are below freezing.

Energy saver

We're using this dish to provide water for song birds during the winter in central New York State (Finger Lakes area). It freezes over in single digit weather, but the birds peck a small hole through the ice and still get water.

Perfect for cold weather!

I purchased this heated water bowl for our 3 outdoor kittens. We built an outdoor shelter for them and enclosed it for extreme weather situations. We are able to keep food and water out of the direct cold, but still needed a heated water bowl to ensure that they had access to unfrozen water without having to come out of the shelter except to do their business. This Farm Innovators heated water bowl did just what we needed it to do. We did have to use an extension cord, which is not recommended according to the manufacturer. But I was able to keep the cords off the ground and hide the connection under a tarp to keep it dry. The wire covered bowl cord is great! It assures that your pet can’t chew through it. Hopefully we don’t have to experience any more sub zero temperatures this year. But if we do have more cold weather, the kittens will have water thanks to a greatly designed and sturdy heated water bowl by Farm Innovators! Very affordable too! Definitely recommend this product!
