It's working in the frozen midwest
Bought this as a gift. Recipient reported that with 6" of snow there was steam coming off the birdbath and cardinals were enjoying it. They said they loved the design and it was bigger than their old birdbath.

It works like it should.
Haven't had any problems with it and the wild birds love it. I bought this to put in place of a fountain that I run throughout the warm months. The bird bath seems light and I thought it would blow over and break in windy conditions. I was wrong, we had 50 mph wind yesterday and it stayed put. It is made of plastic so it requires no care but I am not sure how long it will last in our Colorado sunshine. Easy to assemble, clean and maintain. The temp got down to a record low of -24 degrees around Christmas. The water became a bit slushy but the birds were still able to drink from it in a time when everything else was frozen solid.

It got frozen!
The media could not be loaded. It arrived in perfect condition. I like its look first of all. Neat. The plug is safe because it's placed just below the basin so it is higher from the ground. But it got frozen! Well we live in Michigan way too cold and i can understand why it got frozen. It thawed when it got around low 30s. Im oka with that. I have a heavy duty in my backyard that never freeze. As you noticed I tied it with a whatever you call it I bought from dollar store. It hold okay tho. We had a bad snow storm and it kept standing. ???? But this is okay in the spring until fall in my area. Ill keep that tied up. Maybe this is okay in the lower states that doesn't go below zero. But overall I love it still.

Easy to clean, still water at -9
What I like best about this bird bath is the material. It’s very easy to clean. The water tends to evaporate, so depending on where you’re at that needs to be topped off every couple of days or so. This isn’t a problem because it’s good to have clean water for the birds. It’s lightweight, yet solid enough to not tip over. There’s a way to add rocks in the base if you are in a windy area. The photo shows how well it's doing at -9 with a -30 windchill. I'd say it's doing as well as can be expected!

The birds like it! The water does not freeze. Bird Bath is effective, attractive, & easy!
Excellent heated birdbath. Also easily disconnected from power for mild weather use. I have experience with at least eight others and this is my favorite.

The birds never came
This heated bird bath, No. 1, is not gray. It's exactly as pictured, light creme. Because of this color, I believe this is why the birds who drink/bath from my dark green non-heated bird bath will not go near this. I've put it in the exact place of the green one and transferred the green bath to other side of yard. If I can get out and get the solid ice out of the green one and fill it with fresh water, they drink/bath in it. I feel like they don't understand what this beige one is. I've put a rock in it and a stick across it. It's been clean this past month I've owned it. I check it nightly when I fill the bird feeder that's near it. I will not paint it -- for $200, I should not have to do anything to it. I really wanted this to work for my backyard birds. This is going back before the deadline. So sad.

Very pleasantly suprised!
I waited a long time to buy a new heated birdbath, and I did a ton of looking. I was all set to buy another of the one I replacing when I found this, and I am so glad I did. I was so pleasantly surprised with how heavy and solid it is -- unlike my old one, which was much cheaper plastic (the base cracked and broke very quickly). This one is so sturdy! The raccoons can still knock it over, but anyone who knows raccoons knows that a truly raccoon-proof product is pretty rare! I like how smooth the plastic is -- super easy to clean -- and it really looks so nice. Have yet to use the heater feature (soon, no doubt), so I look forward to seeing how that works, but I really like the fact that the outlet is hidden underneath/inside the base so it's not exposed to the elements. Very pleased with the purchase, and I'm sure the birds will be this winter as well.
