Farberware Mini=Wok

Min-Wok was originally purchased to use instead of the Ninja cook-n-crisp basket. May not hold as much but is fine for our needs (cooking for 2-3 people) - I have one from Offset we have been using for quite some time and it is hold up well. that brand "disappeared" but just found this FARBERWARE version and it appears identical = so will be given to a family member who is just starting out with the original style Foodi Fits in eithr 6.5 or 8 qt version

Fits 6.8 quart Air Fryer

Works awesome in the air fryer; wok pre-heated before adding veg/meat. So far have only used twice for making steak and chicken fajitas. It is a pain to clean though; not very non-stick and needs to soak in hot/soapy water for a few hours. Other than the cleaning issue, a perfect accessory!

Works great, but only twice

Love this for my veggies on the BBQ.

I live on a river in the mountains in Ca. Using this Wok is great for veggies on the gas BBQ and makes it easy to cook veggies And have fun with family and friends outside instead of doing veggies in the house By my self. You can also put meat , chicken on the grill, when cooked can cut it up, And mix it with your veggies also. This Wok measure across almost 11 inches, not including the handles that get hot. The inside bottom is about 7 inches. But this has holes all over And up The sides. I cut up allot of veggies in a large bowl, then pour avocado oil and seasonings over , mix it up, And pour it inside this Wok. Avocado oil can take a higher heat then then olive oil can , And does not get rancid from the higher heat. I then put this on the BBQ but not directly over the flame until the end. The other burners Are going on medium high. When the veggies are basically cooked then I put The flame on under it, Gives the veggies a yummy crispness and not burned taste. Although you have to mix this all the time. Don’t forget to put fresh garlic more at the end mixed into your veggies This wok is not heavy. I like this wok, but would like it wider, bigger.

Great addition to your BBQ arsenal, easiest cookware to use for veggies

I found that this "Farberware BBQ 11inch Round Wok Topper" is the cookware that is the most convenient to use for grilling veggies: zucchinis, bell peppers, portobello mushrooms etc.. Just toss the veggies in olive oil, season them generously, and then just "stir fry" them with this "Round Wok Topper" directly on your grill. They come out fantastic! The outcome is a little different than grilling vegetables directly on the grate, you don't really get any "grill marks" on the vegetables; it is more of a "stir fry" effect, with the BBQ smokiness tho. Using this "wok" is much easier when you have a large amount of chopped up veggies, rather than trying to manage those directly on the grate (or even with a grill mat). This 11 inch Wok Topper is of good size, you can easily do enough veggies for 6 to 8 people. It seems to be well made, carbon steel with a non-stick coating, allows it to be put directly onto your BBQ, and also frying the food in a non-stick fashion. This means that cleaning is easy. Also, this "wok" is dishwasher safe. All in all, this is a great fine, a great addition to my BBQ gear. Good price, nice design, well built and functional. It is even good looking and elegant enough that I wouldn't mine directly putting it out onto the dinner table. The Wonder Of Grilled Vegetables

This simple device has added the dimension of vegetables to my grilling that I never suspected existed. To me, grilling or BBQ’ing meant either meat or corn on the cob. Using this, I can now grill any number of vegetables that, to my surprise, taste much better grilled than cooked conventionally. That includes the real surprise – Brussel Sprouts. No, I’d not believe it myself until I tried them (with the help of my vegan wife) and found I liked them prepped this way. The coating strikes me as good quality non-stick but I still got some vegetable matter adhering to the cookware (grillware?) unless I used high temperature grill oil spray. That went double for seafood such as my rather disappointing foray into grilling scallops. I ended up with them overcooked. I think this can be done but it’ll take some practice and technique I’ve yet to develop. OK, it’s a challenge but one I think I’ll get right with a little practice. I do remain skeptical that seafood or fish will taste better over the grill but I’m sure that vegetables do although why remains a bit of a mystery. Whatever the solution to that mystery, we now need another gas canister because my wife has found she uses the grill almost as much as I do. Recommended.

Perfect addition for grilling

This wok is exactly what I was looking for and feels much higher quality than other brands that I had considered. I had been shopping around for a grill wok for a while because I love crisping up veggies on the grill, but hated using tin foil all the time or the cleanup involved if you dropped any through the grates. This solves the issue of messy veggies on the grill and it’s dishwasher safe which makes cleaning it super simple. The build quality of this wok is perfect. It’s not like there are a lot of features to consider, but it’s solid, with almost no flex, and the handles are secure. There are two sizes available and I went with the standard size over the mini. In hindsight, I probably could have gotten the mini since I typically only cook for 2-3 people at a time and the standard size takes up a lot of grill space, but it does allow me to lay out asparagus relatively flat which makes it worth it. Overall, I would highly recommend this wok to anyone looking for a simple way to do their veggies on the grill without all the mess and hassle.
