Great fan down rod and coupler

Works great!

Worked perfectly. Was having a hard time finding the right length rod in the color needed and then saw this product. It fit a ceiling fan we moved from another location and needed a longer rod. Fan is up and running smoothly.

Beware Did not Fit FANIMATION Slinger 2

Down rod is not tapped so it will not fit the FANIMATION brand motor. I did not read the other reviews before buying. Very frustrating. Reading others, it seems to be a trend with this product. The mfr should list models it is compatible with as some do not have the same problem. At the end of the day it is just a rod without any taper or threads. Not a big deal, just disappointed. Will try to return after I solve this issue by finding something local or get the right size female pipe thread die. Or get creative with my welder. Good luck

Terrible

Would love to give 0 stars. I bought a fanimaton fan. It looks great and is very stylish, however it didn’t come with a downrod long enough for my ceiling height. I decided to spring extra money for a fanimation downrod because I reasoned that the color would match, it being the same brand and all. I was wrong. Fan listed as aged bronze, and the downrod I purchased was a totally different color. I returned and bought a oil rubbed bronze as it seemed to match the color better. It arrived and I found that it doesn’t fit. The same manufacture makes a downrod that doesn’t fit their own fan, and the colors don’t match up at all. It seems like the downrods and fans are made by two separate companies under the same name. Poor poor quality control.

Strong as heck

The downrod was a few inches too long and we needed to cut it and drill another hole. I am not worried that this thing will break. We went through 3 drill bits and decided on using a sawzall to cut it. I also added rust proof paint. These rods (I also purchased an 18 inch one) are perfect and I am really happy with them. If you want to install a ceiling fan outside on your porch and need a longer downrod, don't hesitate and get this one. The rods I bought were 1 inch wide and made for damp/wet environment.
