Chemical smell makes me sneeze

The most important feedback I can give is that these masks smell like chemicals. It is very strong and makes me start sneezing when I wear them. I have had to take a few masks out and leave then on the dashboard of my truck a day or two before I want to wear them because that smell and the sneezing is just too much. It eventually goes away, but don't expect to take it out of the box and wear it comfortably. Speaking of comfort, the piece of foam around the bridge of the nose is really thin so I have to press the metal over and over to try and get it to conform tightly sold my nose decently. Other N95 masks I've bought are easier to get to conform to my nose because the foam in that area bridges the gaps better and more comfortably. All of that being said, if this is an N95 masks, once the smell is gone and I'm not sneezing anymore (about 2 hours) it actually does seem to seal well around most of my face. It is light and very breathable and the straps going around my head are well fitting with no slippage and allows full movement and comfortably talking without any movement in the mask at all. In other words, if they didn't smell for hours and you don't mind spending the first 5 minutes forcing the bridge in place over and over it actually forms a good, secure seal that lasts all day. It ain't coming off until you take it off. I really don't like the smell and that's a big deal for me but I've given a few out and others have said they don't mind it as much as long as they know that are getting protection. I also will admit that I have large bridge on my nose so that's why that's more important to me . But I started working in a lab in 2007 and this is the worst smelling mask I've ever had and I've worn hundreds of styles from dozens of vendors and brands. This is the style I prefer after a LOT of experience. Just consider that when the pandemic started I already owned 1,000 masks of my preference not from hoarding but from normal purchasing for use. Unfortunately I stupidly donated a bunch to hospitals and left myself shorter than I should have. Bottom line? This mask will probably get it done for you but air it out for a bit before you need to go out in it. This mask is easily the smelliest mask I've ever bought but it's solidly in the middle of the pack to upper quadrant for overall fit. Plus it was available! The best mask you can use is one you can actually get, right!!?! And this vendor delivered extremely quickly! I ordered at 10pm and they were at my door by 9am!!!! If for that reason alone these will likely be my backup order moving forward!

It works well!

I bought for Covid and they fit very well. I will also use them when I paint my furniture.
