Price per tool is expensive compared to smaller sets
But having a broader range of grits is worth it.

This review is identical as the one I did for the 4 pack except
This has a 5th sharpener. By itself, this kit is little different except that adding in the 5th intermediate sharpener should improve the longevity of some of the others: These items are light, and plastic. That is good! They are not designed to put an edge on a piece of metal. They are designed to hone an edge to razor sharpness. After getting these, I took two ordinary cheap Utility razor blades (one new, one used) and sharpened them BOTH! You only think a utility blade is sharp because, by itself it is. Compared to a really sharp blade, they are blunt! I then took a cheap “gift” multi-tool and sharpened the hell out of it. These work great for what they are designed to do and are cheap enough to replace when it needs to be. But if used correctly, they should last. (If you didn’t know, a Utility blade is a compromise between sharp and durable. A really sharp Utility blade won’t last that long before it would need replaced. These tools can prolong that if you chose to.)

Very good
Easy to use for small knife sharpening / touch up.

Slick little diamond stone sharpeners.
I got these to work on my kitchen knives and see how they compared to my current sharpening system. I made up a simple jig (not even sure it qualifies for that name) that I hold the knife flat on. The jig is tall enough that I should have a 25 deg sharpening angle given the length of these stones (for my kitchen knives, I'm happy with a fixed angle). My wife definitely noticed an improvement in the sharpness of the knives compared to my existing system.

Bad glue job
The pads were not glued on evenly, and my super fine had large corse diamond pieces stuck to it. Diamond wears off easier than I thought it would.

Use for many projects
Bought to replace a set I had used for many years. Have used only many projects, much easier to use than any other abrasive product and can keep a flat surface. Use on metal, wood, plastic, anything. If you’ve never had a set of these, buy them. Make your projects much easier. On the expensive side, but they last years.

Absolute GARBAGE cheaply made Trash! DO NOT PURCHASE!
As you can see in the pictures the bald spots where the diamond etching has rubbed off with 1 time use for a small Swiss Army knife. I spent no more than 3min with each lap so it took NO time for these to degrade. When I first pulled them from their package I was a little confused because the 600grit fine felt like 120grit sand paper. THIS IS NOT AN EXAGGERATION. It's normal for all sand paper or lapping plates that use an imbedded media to start out rough and crisp but very quickly wear in and level out to a consistent removal for each pass. BUT THESE WENT FROM crazy course to no baby butt smooth cuz all the diamond materials fell off. Just holding these they feel cheap and have SHARP edges and leftover plastic burrs left from the injection molding. Before I could even start I had to sand and file the sharp edges off just to hold and not be consciously distracted by the discomfort, Do yourself a favor AMAZON BUYER DONT BE FOOLED BY THIS PRODUCT JUST TO SAVE A BUCK OR YOURE GONNA END UP PAYING $40 just to toss these in the trash.

THE BEST!
I have used these for many, many years, for everything from Felco pruners to carbide lathe tools. Have stashed a second set at our Old Engine and Tractor clubhouse. I have replaced the "Fine" a couple of times - the one I use most - not because of wear, but just because the handle was getting beat up and the lap surface was looking grimy; but it still works OK. I've never actually worn one out, or broken a handle (as another reviewer mentioned) in over twenty tears of use. Also have one of the small "fish-hook" tools with the sharpening groove, which I keep in my desk. Recently got one of the big, folding oval "fine" diamond files, which works perfectly to true up the anvil side of my Felco pruners. I can happily give all these EZY-Lap tools my highest recommendations.
