Definitely Not for Kids
Ok let me start by saying I am not a softy, protect my kids from life, everyone gets a trophy, parent. My kids are free-range and get to learn things the hard way. We like sports, we play tough, we get dirty. Heck my 6yo daughter likes watching pbr rodeo just as much as she likes watching cartoons. These guns are no more toys than paint ball guns are toys. The darts hit with a velocity that you absolutely need to be wearing goggles if you're trying to avoid serious eye injury. Even just taking a shot to an area of muscle is too much for most children, or adults not expecting to feel a substantial sting. While the dangerousness of this item should eliminate it from being sold as "for kids," it's the actual difficulty of use that really eliminates this from being a toy for kids. To fire these guns, each time you must "cock" the gun into place, which lines up each dart in the revolver to fire through the barrel. Every single shot requires the gun to be cocked again. This action requires a ton of force. None of my children could do it on their own. They're are all under 8, and I see waaaaay down at the very end of this listing it says manufacturer recommended age of use is above 8 years old, but this is sold as for kids, teens, and adults. This is not for kids. My wife, not a body-builder, but also not a petite wimp, couldn't even cock this to fire it. And again, even if my kids could cock it to fire it, I won't allow them to shoot it even once without me aiming it for them, and first clearing the room of any other people. I was shooting darts across the house 45-50 feet and doing what could be described as minor damage to the blinds that I would hit. HIGH VELOCITY. Anyway, these are cool things to add to an adult play collection, but for real these are not for kids. I got these to play with my family, which includes my wife and kids. These just collect dust.... because I bought them for kids...and these are most certainly NOT FOR KIDS.

Push the darts in further than you think you should
Well shoot, now they shoot well. Everything below was true before I started pushing the darts much further down into their cylinders. If you push them until the blue tip kind of clicks into place then the find work great. (This was my review before learning to use them better) I have single shot guns from this brand that I love. Fast, fun and cheap. The concept of these is nice with a quick change from one cylinder to the next. The reality is that somewhere between 25 and 75% of the time it doesn't fire well or at all. Even trying to be careful to insure everything is carefully aligned doesn't improve the odds of a successful shot much. The errors aren't tied to specific dart or cylinder. The sealing system is dependent on a soft foam gasket material that I expect to get even worse relatively quickly. Another brand's gun with a similar design uses a much more durable material and is far more reliable. Not sure that the gasket is even the issue, just an observation. Don't buy this, you will be sorely disappointed.

AWESOME!
These blasters are so awesome! They're easy to use, fun to shoot, and surprisingly accurate! The fact that they hold 12 darts is great, and allows for so much play before having to reload. Really really great value for the money.

Not as advertised. I ordered 4 sets of these and they were all wrong.
The guns sent are not what is in the pictures. Instead they are much smaller than advertised. You get 4 but its not what I needed. I ordered 4 boxes so it was not a mistake.

Worth the money
Xshot Zuru actually makes great Nerf Blasters. I was little hesitant on if they could perform in high performance compared to other name brand Nerf Blasters and they actually do. To be honest I prefer Xshot brands over some other Nerf brands.

Like the fact that it is a 2 pack.
Easy to use and good to have the 2 pk for another sibling parent or friend and great value for the money. I would buy another one these brands.
