Works with my cordless Wen track saw!

Not bad the storage bag and clamps are little cheese but the track are good. These tracks work with my Wen cordless yrack saw .

Great Customer Service... few glitches but they are helping me with them

So the Clamps work well and tracks fit together nicely. The kit does NOT come with enough connectors to connect these tracks to all 3 that come with the saw but customer service was able to get me squared away with the additional connections. I did try to cut some 3/4" plywood yesterday and ran into an issue whereby the blade was seizing but customer service has been very helpful and one way or another we will get it squared away. Based on the interactions so far I will say it seems like they stand behind their products! Will update if that changes.

It's perfect for my garage shop.

This works great haven't had any issues with it so far and for being in a 2 car garage It's nice to be able to break down the track for storage.

Great but dusty and does not plunge, so starts and ends of cuts can be iffy

It's a light and powerful circ saw --- even one that you can use without the track, which apparently is unlike other track saws (none of which I have used!). As a track saw, you can easily set it up to cut reliably accurately. The included blade started out amazing but didn't last that way long after cuts in treated plywood sheathing mostly. Anyway you'll want a blade more specialized to your application before long. Unlike almost every other track saw, it's not a plunge saw. That means that the saw is not fully on the track until several inches along it. If you're relying on the track for accuracy, that reduces the useful length of your setup (on both ends!). And that also means that it will be important either to support the track on both ends or to be good at handling the saw before and beyond the workpiece without screwing up the track's situation on the workpiece. Very dusty, too. Wear glasses and mask up. Wen tracks are just fine and fit this saw as well.

Why in the world would you sell a product that needs to be clamped down and not provide the clamps with the product?

Better than expected

I don't have an out feed table for my table saw so I decided to give this a try. Cutting down 4 foot by 8 foot, 3/4 inch plywood is a pain to accomplish by ones self. This track saw is the answer. Maybe it was just me, but the accuracy of the saw is 90% spot on as I did gave to adjust the track a little to get my perfect cuts, but once set, it is so much easier to slide a saw along the cut line as opposed to trying to manhandle a full sheet of plywood. The blade that comes with the saw is great! I didn't have any splintering or tear out with the blade. I did end up purchasing the WEN 100 inch track as sell, as the track that comes with the circular saw was too short to RIP down a full length of plywood.

really useful tool for hobbyists/home improvement

TLDR: Great for hobbyists. one blade, many materials. might not be for heavy use For the price, this thing is hard to beat. It cuts steel, aluminum and wood with pretty decent accuracy. I've been using it to cut plywood down to usable chunks for my table saw, and all my sheet metal cutting. I was amazed at how well it handled mild steel with the same blade as I used on plywood. The included tracks are very short, so I purchased the additional track kit. The build quality is good, it has a good feel in the hand, and has a nice long cord. This is not a single purpose tool, it is a multi-tool, so the buyer needs to understand it will not perform as or be as fast as a bunch of specialized tools might. I end up using it every few weeks or so for an odd job, and it's a welcome addition to my tool kit.

Great saw, included track not perfect, but works!

The build quality on this saw is great, predominantly metal, apart from the adjustment knobs. Forward and aft track tightening knobs work very well, allowing tight fit to the track. I have used the Dewalt track saw a considerable amount and the build quality here feels very similar. From my perspective, apart from build quality, one thing that makes this saw such a win in my book is the ability to use both 20mm arbor and traditional 5/8" arbor meaning that this saw unlike the Dewalt and many others, is not strictly bound to expensive replacement blades. $38 for the dewalt fine finish blade compared to $11 for a diablo. Included in the box is the arbor washer for both sizes. The included track is obviously going to not be the best, it comes in three short pieces. I found that the track needed to be deburred and some adhesive needed to be removed before they fit well. Still, not great, but at the cost of the saw, it is almost free. In retrospect, I would buy the saw only, save a few bucks and buy the WEN track saw guides.

Excellent bit of Kit with Reservations

This is a review of the Evolution guide rail/tracks 2400mm & 1400mm. Some time ago I purchased the 2400mm track kit. Just brilliant, comparing the cost to other track manufacturers, they are very cost effective indeed. The track is true and sturdy. However, I found it a little inconvenient at times, if for example I had a piece of material about 1600 mm to cut. With both lengths of track having be joined for an extra 200mm,in order to cover the the whole cut, a great deal of track was left overhanging at both ends. So I decided to buy the the smaller kit (1400mm) in order to just extend one piece of the original track by one piece of the small kit (700mm), which would be a much better length of track to work with for that smaller piece of material. However, when it arrived the track had a bend in its width and would not line up causing the saw to jam. So it was replaced with no problems by Amazon within 2days, (which is an amazing service)? The second kit was OK, but I had trouble lining the sections up and butting the joints together. I put a straight edge along the back of the tracks and pulled them to fit to this straight edge. I could see the the cut ends on one piece were not square so by connecting the track and fitting the connection bars meant that on the joint there was a small gap on the front side of the track? So I tightened up the joining bars in this position, and it worked when making the cut? I can only assume that in manufacture, Evolution make 1400mm pieces of track and that the smaller two piece kit are those full length tracks, cut in half (700mm) on another machine, which is not as precise or accurate as the manufacturing machines track ends? If an Evolution Sliding Mitre Saw is available fitted with a multi materials cutting blade, then a simple trim on the end at a 90 degree angle would sort it, making the whole track system absolutely perfect (in my opinion anyway). Perhaps Evolution would be better off using one of their own Sliding Mitre Saws, for the track cutting, on those smaller pieces?

Individual tracks perfect - impossible to get a straight and reliable join on the 2 pieces

Individual tracks are great and worked perfectly with my Makita plunge saw - a smooth and buttery ride. However, getting the 2 individual tracks to join for a straight 2.8m cut length (to rip down 8ft birch ply) proved impossible. Used a straight edge to align, even used a laser-line - worked fine for a cut at most, but the play in the joining bars meant that repositioning the track after a cut or two caused the length not to be straight again (by a few mm, but that is error enough!) Thankfully Amazon's customer service came to the rescue to arrange a return & refund. I'm still out of pocket for the 2 sheets of poorly cut birch-ply that I cant/wont use

Pistas descuadradas. Ojo, no compatible con la Evolution CCS.

Buenas. Me llegó este pruducto hace dos días. Parece ser que es compatible con las sierras Evolution y otras muchas marcas excepto la Evolution CCS que adquirí en Amazon hace pocos días. Me he tenido que ingeniar un accesorio para poderla adaptar (perfil de aluminio T-slot de 300 mm comprado en Amazon). Por otra parte no llego a concibir que una empresa dedicada a fabricar herramientas de precisión, entregue unas pistas descuadradas de corte. También las he tenido que ajustar (sanearlas), para que la unión fuera correcta. Por todo ello hago estos comentarios para a ser posible los tengan en cuenta y miren de corregirlos.

Günstige Führungsschiene aber kein Vergleich zu Festool o. ä.

Ich habe die Führungsschiene von EVOLUTION über Amazon Warehouse Deal etwas vergünstigt erhalten. Der Preis erscheint sehr gut allerdings fand ich die Qualität bestenfalls eine 2 - 3. Die Schienen machen einen wertigen Eindruck vom Material her. Die Spannzwingen zur fixieren sind ok und die Tasche ein nettes Gimmick wer's braucht. Qualität würde ich sagen sehr einfach. Was mir überhaupt nicht gefällt: Bei beiden Schienen war der Splitterschutz an der Kante nur sehr schlecht und ungerade fixiert. Teils wellig, an manchen Stellen nicht mehr mit Schiene verbunden (Kleber hat sich gelöst) und auch nicht Vertrauenserweckend dass dieser länger hält. Die beiden orangefarbenen Gleit-PVC / Teflon waren bei beiden Schienen ebenfalls unsauber aufgeklebt. Bei beiden Schienen waren diese nicht sauber / gerade aufgeklebt und bei einer Schiene waren diese um ca. 3 mm zu kurz. Für jemanden der sich eine eher einfache Führungsschiene bei der es nicht auf jeden mm ankommt für günstiges Geld sucht kommt diese ggf. in Frage. Bei mir in Verbindung mit einer BOSCH GKS 12V-26 hätte es ggf. ausgereicht. Ich habe mich aber entschieden die Schienen zurück zu senden und ggf. noch einen Versuch zu wagen. Ansonsten würde ich eher empfehlen einmal eine Markenschiene zu kaufen auch wenn diese teurer sind. Bei Festool kenne ich diese Qualitätsmängel überhaupt nicht und es wäre im Prinzip ein Leichtes gewesen die Schiene mit 5 Sternen auszuzeichnen wenn die o. g. Qualitätsmängel nicht das Ergebnis trüben würden.
