big cage works great; suction cup not so much

I successfully used the largest cage to change BR30 light bulbs and tried to use it for BR40, but wasn't enough room. If there is plenty of space, this works great. There were the two highest ones I needed to change that were in a tighter-fitting housing and no luck getting it to go around the bulb. So I tried the suction cup, and I couldn't get it to work at all. Tried on a light bulb that was in my hand just to see if I could make it work, but I could get a little suction, but broke the suction just barely pulling on it. Haven't tried any of the other parts. I will probably keep it just in case a bulb ever gets broken off, those other things would probably be handy.

Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time I used to stand on a metal box that I place on a chair just so I could reach the light bulb socket. This light bulb socket is located in the hallway leading upstairs. So I had to place a chair on steps that was dangerous. Now that I am older (60 years), weigh more and not comfortable with relying on my stability, I searched for something that I could use to reach the light bulb socket safely. I am so happy that I found this product. I did not buy the pole but used a old sponge mop pole which worked just as well. A lot of people said that they had problems with the spiral light bulbs, I did notice that as I was screwing counter clockwise, the standard light bulb gripper also was unscrewing. I just tightened the screw on the light bulb gripper onto the mop pole and it worked. I haven't tried any of the other grippers but am looking forward to seeing if it will work on the flood light bulb outside.

Didn't know if it would work

Was relieved that this did the job. I had 4 bulbs to replace that is why i decided to purchase this. I would say these fixtures were over 20 ft high and needed to replace the older compact fluorescent light bulb they came out easy and was able to replace with LED bulbs. was really happy with the results. Remember it doesn't have the extension pole you'll need to get one.

Works easy-peasy for changing conventional light bulbs

Unscrewed handle from a broom, screwed it into the changer, and switched out old bulb for a new one zip-zip. Honestly surprised how easy it was.

This is made great but they didn't work on my light bulbs. I am still looking for something like this that will fit my bulbs.

Easy to assemble, and fits wooden painters poles/extensions

This bulb changer worked flawlessly. I trial fitted it on 3 different painters (roller) poles I have in my shed. The bulb changer fit all 3, providing you back the locking thumb screw out so it doesn't interfere with the threads. I took out a normal bulb, and then installed a flood LED. No worries...

Safe and easy

I used this bulb changer to change bulbs in my barn -- a 20 foot span. It worked great, I was pleased! I used to change those bulbs by putting a ladder on top of a table, but never want to do that again, so I was happy that these worked so well and so easily. You screw the bulb changer cage onto a mop handle or something similar and tighten it with the little screw that pushes against the pole. The incandescent changer works by stretching the springy top of the metal cage over the bulb, and the blue ribs, which are coated with rubber, grip as you turn. You just pop the open part of the cage over the bulb and turn it, and the bulb unscrews as if you were holding it with your hand. I didn't need the flood light changer so I can't comment on how it works.

Very high quality product by a well-respected American company

Although this product is made in China (what isn't these days?), the company that designed it and sells it is a well-established American company that is known for high quality janitorial products. The kit contains everything needed to change light bulbs of various sizes, and the tools are able to get into very tight fixtures that have no room to shove your fingers in to grab the bulb. I highly recommend this product, great design and robust quality at a reasonable price.

Life changing!!

I bought this for my mom as a gift. It attached easily to a regular broom handle and works amazingly! It has a firm grip on the bulb, at first I was worried it might break it but no. Its perfect and gets the job done. There was no way to change the bulb over the basement stairs ourselves. So far we only used the standard bulb size but I would definitely recommend. Its well worth the money to have a light going to the dark basement again! Finally.
