Swivel feature a plus
I put one of these lights at the outlet closest to each exit door of my home. With the swivel feature, I can rotate the light to point toward the door. In case of power outages it is easy to find our way out when necessary.

Works great, but, color?
OK, these things WORK. So great. BUT--I wanted them in white, as shown in pic, and got beige. Doesn't effect how they work, just a wee bit annoying plugged into my white outlets. Not gonna return them, though as, well--they work great. Thought I'd give y'all a heads up, though. Here's hoping we don't need them anymore this year!

Grabbed these as lat minute stocking stuffers and so glad i did! Using them tonight in power outage. Great product.

Good unit but can be improved
I live in the country side outside the city. There are no street lights yet. It is so dark at night that one cannot see your own stretched hands. I need an emergency light at every room in the house just in case during power outage. I had a group of these emergency flash lights installed about 20 years ago, but they use NiCad batteries and most had failed because the batteries didn't last that long. This is the only emergency/night flash light that say it uses lithium battery and plugs directly onto the wall socket. I bought this one to try out. It works well. Now I have an emergency light as well as a night light. However, I find the plug is not retractable. It is only rotatable which has little use for me. When using it as a flash light, the plugs prevent me to hold the flash light properly. When it plugs into the lower socket of the wall socket, its top hide part of the ground pin entry of the top socket. You can also plug it in the top socket, but you need to put it upside down before you can use the lower socket. In this way, the night light will be shinning towards the ceiling onto your eye instead of to the floor.

The best blackout Alert and Nightlight
These are the best night light and flashlight. I had another 3 for 15 years, that was under Canadian Red Cross, but now they don't carry them. People, you have a purchase these, they are well worth the money

Weak nightlight.
I like that it can swivel while plugged in, but when holding it as a flashlight, I wish the plug could also fold down. I wouldn't have minded if it was a bit thicker to allow for that. As a night light, the bottom only has a single LED, and is super weak. Not bright at all. A dollar store flashlight is brighter than the bottom LED. Maybe they could made it seem brighter with a better designed reflector and different shaped plastic cover. This is disappointing because 1) the top flashlight has 3 LEDs and is sufficiently bright, and 2) I bought it specifically for the night light feature, and the other features 2nd. As an emergency light...I haven't had any blackouts yet, so I can't comment on that feature. But at least it's there if I need it. Overall, it works, but not well enough in my opinion, at least not at this price point.

Bright, nice and work well for my second set
I've had these for 10-15 years and this is my second time purchasing them. First time was from costco but they arent listed there anymore for us anyway. These are much brighter than the 15 year old ones I have as LED technology has changed. The come on when you unplug them or lose power as expected and make a decent flashlight as well. I can roam around the yard or house as a flashlight easily. I wouldnt try to compare it to a super bright one but that is not the intention. We live in the country where we lose power every year with a snow or ice storm and this allows us to see around the house until I get the generator going. Lasts quite a long time also between charges.

Great Product
This is a great safety item. I like the auto-on in a power failure and the automatic nightlight with the option to turn the nightlight off. The swivel feature to position it in different ways in the outlet is great. The swivel was a little stiff on one item put worked. I had one item that was defective but it was replaced within the day. Good service and good value.
