Look no further, these are the best IMHO!
I had purchased a pair of these years ago for my Corgi. His were a size medium. He's passed on so I used them with my lab/pit rescue. I ordered more of *these* boots because the others I ordered and tried were a waste of time and money. I saw a review about them cracking and yes, the old material did indeed crack. The manufacturer has swapped out the black material to a very heavy denim-like material. Enlarge a picture like I did and you can see it. I ordered a large for my rescue because getting the old mediums on (until the new boots arrived) was a challenge due to her dew claws. They *do not fall off* when I make sure her foot is all the way in, and I tighten the velcro strap very tight. Who wants to run out in below zero temps at 3 am in their robe? Tight doesn't seem to bother her, and she goes up and down stairs just fine! The size large go on with far less struggle, and help my tenderfoot belle from the south endure our very cold WI weather long enough to take care of business. I no longer have to try and rush her, nor does my heart break watching her lift her paws when she is clearly in pain from the severe cold. If the boots fall off then you can chalk it up to user error and not blame the manufacturer. These are the best boots EVER. I ordered extras because I like them that much! Codes to the folks that make these boots. PLEASE keep up the good work! This fur baby mama is so very grateful for your product!

Nice fit, Stays on.
I have a 110lb American Bulldog. He is sometimes too big for things like coats and booties, you know: since small is 6lbs, medium is 20lbs and large is 40-60lbs.... Too used to buying "Large" and having them not only be too small...but much too small.... I initially ordered the XL of these. I could tell immediately that they were going to be a bit too big. We were in the middle of a deep freeze here in Chicago so I had no choice, on they went. It turns out the XL was too big for his front paws but actually they weren't bad for his back paws. The front ones sort of rotated around on him because the paw section was too big. I find that they err on the side of caution with the length of velcro, so I just cut some of the excess off so it wasn't flopping around. Previously I have used the "pawtector" brand. These stay on wayyy better, even the ones that are slightly too big! They don't get 5 stars because I don't imagine they will be 100% waterproof like the pawtectors, but I mostly use them for cold cold days and salty sidewalks, not going through deep puddles. For my needs these are way better than the pawtectors! Obviously, I did go ahead and order the Large, so I'm ready for the next big freeze. I can't say for certain yet, but I might end up using the XL on the back paws and the L on the front paws since I have them both. Who knows.... (I posted this identical review in the X-Large size also) (I also reviewed the XS size because I bought them for my neighbor/cousin's dog.)

Prancy prancy! Comfy cozy.
Dog likes them or he wouldn't allow me to put them on his feet. I purchased these because our yard has gotten a bit muddy during the autumn rains and he don't have a dog bathing station like we did in the summer (outdoors and with a garden hose). We can't keep doing that through the fall, winter and spring because of freezing temps. Our back door leads right into the kitchen so we need something to keep his paws clean when the weather doesn't allow us to clean them outdoors. Additionally, he is having bouts of allergic reactions and we want to be sure it isn't something he's picking up outside. Hence, we can keep his paws isolated from the ground if that's his point of irritation. These are NOT as waterproof as I would have liked. They did get damp inside the bootie but they clean up nicely. They slide over the dog's foot very nicely / easily and the velcro straps allow you to quickly wrap or unwrap the bootie with control of tightness. They have not slid off during the times we've used them to date. To get them to slide over the foot, thumb, claw in back of front legs, you need to loosen the velcro as much as possible; open the black ankle band (stretch) and slide over the foot while insuring you haven't snagged the duclaws on the back. Make sure they are tucked in too! The velcro will wrap around the ankle between the duclaw and the bottom of the back-most pad of the foot.

worked good
The boots worked good and stayed on. I have a golden retriever 1 year old and loves to run as fast as he can on the concrete. Which is why we got the boots because his paws were getting torn up. The boots worked great for him, kinda make him walk like a horse but they did the job. I have to buy new boots already though after only having them for a month. I recommed if you have a fast large dog to buy a more heavy duty boot but if you are hiking then these boots will work great.

cute, Keno tried to eat my hand, but still are cute!!
Keno liked the coats that I got him on here. Keno's an elderly (approx 12 yr old) lab/pibble mix that we now know doesn't like booties. We adopted him from the Georgetown Delaware SPCA. and he's a fantastic dog!! We have some roads that have pebbles instead of black top. I was worried about his feet being injured by sharp stones and ice and snow. They are cute and are true to size. He's about 70 lbs and the large was just right. As much as I am a shoe lover, keno is not. I managed to get one bootie on him while he was aiming to give my hand a good chomp when I tried for the 2nd. If you dog doesn't mind warm, dry feet I highly recommend these!!.

just ok
wanted these for my dog walking in the snow-snow and ice get in his pads and he is constantly stopping to lick his paws. these definately helped but they only lasted about a month. He lost two in deeper snow and the remaining two are falling apart. I didn't really expect any differently based on the other reviews but had to try something. I do walk every day so I knew there would be a lot of wear on them and was hoping to just get through this winter (it has been really brutal!).

Fit well and provide good protection
My dog is a lab mix (approximately 70 lbs). I struggled to find a pair of boots to fit his big paws. When I found these ones I fell in love. This is actually the second pair I've purchased, as I found it helpful to have one pair available while the other pair dried. I like that the velcro straps allow me to tighten the boots to fit my dog perfectly. This ensures that they don't fall off in deep snow. They protect my pup's paws from the sand and salt on the road. They also keep his feet warm during cold Canadian winters so he doesn't mind walking in the snow. If worn for a long walk they will get wet but provide fairly good protection all the same. I've cleaned them in the washing machine in a delicates bag and they've come out just fine. My dog likes to scuff his feet so the bottoms have worn with time, but I would recommend these boots all the same.

Exact same winter boots that I buy at pet store.
I've been using these for my dog about 5 yrs now and they last me a season, which is what I would expect from these winter boots, they do what they say and keep his feet from getting any rocks/salt in between his toes. They are not extremely warm, but it's enough to keep his feet dry and somewhat warm on dry winter days, slushy days they just get soaked, I always keep two pairs on hand for this very reason.

Great
Love these. My dog is older and drags his back leg due to nerve issues. This protects his paws on our walks. Although beaten up they have worked well.

Not worth the money
Do not stay on my dog, the straps are too low to be effective
