DESCRIZIONE PRODOTTO IRWIN 53226 ESTRATTORE A VITE 10PC MULTI SPLINE DAL PRODUTTORE I professionisti dicono tutti la stessa cosa.

Nice Set Worked Great On Rusted Stripped Hex Drain Plug
Rule Number 1 on Transmission Fluid Replace is always loosen the fill plug first before draining. Glad I did as it was rusted bad and the 8mm Hex hole was rounded bad. No way the regular 8mm Hex socket was going to work. I tried the MAC RBRT #8 hex socket first and it was no go . I have used Irwin - Hanson products before and never had any issues . I got a hold of this spline extractor set and tried the 3/8 drill size extractor ( part number 53209 ). I tapped it in the hex hole and it bit in nicely. I grabbed the 1/2 inch 6 point socket and the extended length ratchet and the seized fill plug with the rounded hex spun right out. The Irwin hanson spline extractors Truly saved me. I cannot say Enuf good about the Hanson 3/8 size spline extractor and the set!!! Highly recommend !!!! NOTE: I read the other reviews and saw where the 1/8 size Broke . I can understand where that size could not take the torque. I was a little concerned about the 3/8 size but it took a significant amount of torque and bit and loosened the hex drain plug without breaking.

Best for broken not stuck bolts/studs
I had several broken grade 8.8 bolts to manage in-car in an engine block. These didn't budge them a bit; not with penetrant or heat either. They just galled out the interior even when driven in place. Left handed drill bit to nearly the full tap size eventually did the trick. These probably work best in a situation that is not quite as stubborn (lower grade, smaller diameter bolt, more workspace, etc)

Cost and confidence
The thickness looked good for the force I was going to be applying to the bolt. Tapped it into the drilled bolt and was out in a minute. Just make sure you tap it in good so it gets a good bite on the bolt you're trying to extract. Was using other extractor but it was twisting as I put force on it. I didn't want to make a bad situation worst so I got the Irwin extractors and applied force as needed with confidence and the results were great. Great product Irwin.

and I'd highly recommend having it around for that day
I just used the 1/8" extractor to remove a sheared bolt. After center punching and drilling a 1/8" pilot hole, I used a ratchet wrench to back the extractor into the bolt which came out with no real effort. You don't need this set until you need it, and I'd highly recommend having it around for that day. Be sure to drill a pilot hole, use a lubricating agent like CLP or Seafoam DeepCreep, and to only attempt to extract using manual hand tools. If you do all of that, you should minimize the likelihood of shearing one of these extractors, which should be a difficult thing to do in the first place as they feel pretty sturdy.

The best extractor/easy out set I have ever had. Definitely worth the money.
I am a millwright by trade and run into broken bolts or fittings regularly. In this case I had to change out 10 broken grease tube fittings. The tubes were hollow already so I didn’t have to drill a hole for the extractor. I just threaded the extractor in a couple turns with a wrench and the broken tube just twisted right out. I would also like to point out that I used the same extractor several times with no wear on the tool. It bit just as good the tenth time as the first. I highly recommend this to any mechanic or machinist. It will save you time and money.

Wow, what a disappointment these were
I'd read some reviews of people who had these break off. I am ever the optimist, so I was hoping that was just their problem. Unfortunately I was wrong. I had a rusted bolt in a car part which had broken clean off, flush with the surface. I coated it with PB Blaster and banged on the metal with a hammer to try and break things up first. Then, I bought a set of left-hand drill bits and drilled out the pilot hole as specified by this kit. Then I tapped in the extraction head. The first head just wouldn't bite. So I drilled then next size up and tapped in the next size extraction head. This time it bit into the screw and I slowly tried turning it. It almost immediately snapped right off, leaving the extraction head's spline embedded in the screw (also flush with the surface). I then tried various drills bits (cobalt and titanium) to try and drill out the extraction spline and it wouldn't budge on the hard metal that this damn thing is made of. Finally I just had to give up and use some cable ties to do the job that the screw was supposed to do. I returned these junky things to Amazon and will now buy an Irwin product again, based on how crappy this one was.

High quality, seem very strong. They worked like a champ for me.
These are made of high quality steel and seem quite strong. I don't know how those in other reviews have broken them. They functioned perfectly for me. I had a stripped out hex bolt set in a brake caliper, no access to the head at all. I set the extractor with a couple firm taps from a large hammer and used a ratchet to turn it and the extractor bit immediately, the bolt was removed with no problem. There is a good set of sizes that should cover most applications. As some other reviewers have said they broke them I might be cautious about using the largest but I think with care it would be fine. Very pleased, high quality material, saved me a big bill.

Got the job done quickly times 6!
Bought these after trying the thin reverse bolt screws from the big tool store. My teenage son stripped not one but six of the transmission pan torx bolts on his car doing a flush. I used the recommended drill bit, put a small hole in the middle of each and with this set everyone of those bolts came right out. I had spent hours with the other sets (tried three different ones) but these other sets had posts that were to small to get any friction( spun in a drill). This Irwin set worked great in about 2 minutes per bolt. Got them to grab using my fingers then a small wrench on the post broke them free. I used the same one 6 times and all the threads were undamaged. what a relief!

Great product
Perfect tool for the job unlike the cheaper unrecognised brands that snap easy and don’t do as they say they will. These on the other hand and well made, well suited and properly made for the task at hand

sturdy
This is a sturdy set. I ordered the set with a 1/8" piece, but it is still slightly too large for a fine screw, such as I needed. I will keep this for future use, as all the sizes are valuable, and the box in which it is kept is also very sturdy. Two mailing factors are important to me 1. The packaging was enough for safety but not overly packaged (so many items are very overly packaged, wasting the resources it takes to make the packaging, and the space in the mailing trucks. 2. Second, I dislike Amazon's habit of leaving packages outside the door, ringing the doorbell once and leaving. They could at least when possible put the package between the outer and inner exterior doors, or wait until a person answers the door. If no one answers they should not leave it, for security sake.

Works decently I guess
There is not as much bite in the bit as I expected, the threading is kinda shallow, so after predrilling they can easily spin out and make the problem worse. You need to be more careful to make these work. But it could be a general problem of extractors not specific to this particular product. I'm not an expert in this area. Fyi they are all 13mm socket size and won’t fit in your drill chuck if that’s what you were hoping for.

Sheared on first use
Supposed to be top of their game when it comes to extractor tools. Using one today and end sheared off with minimum force. Will now have to spend an extra couple hours extracting the extractor.

Great product! I would buy the 15 piece set ...
Great product! I would buy the 15 piece set as I have some larger than 13/32 for Jeep Drive Train. 10 piece set did the job fast on most
