May be helpful to some but not me.

I'm sure there are some who would be helped by this product, but not me. I got this to help with putting on socks, but it's not really much hall. I've had ankle surgery that resulted in a partial fusion of the joint; therefore, I can't really bend my foot to fit in the sock that's stretched on the device. It does work on my other foot though, so I'm sure that some might find it useful. The terry cloth does help to prevent the sock from sliding off which is good, but I think that regular use of this "aid" might result in socks becoming baggy and stretched out. If you need something to help with this daily task, I'd recommend asking your physician or physical therapist for suggestions before purchasing this blindly as I did. I'm sure it may work in some cases but not all.

Cheap product, don't bother

Believed they could be used to help me pull my socks up after knee replacement surgery. 2nd time I used them the straps ripped off. Crappy product. Don't waste your money

Found it a lot of help

The sock aid is a minor miracle. I could't reach far enough to get a sock over my foot and that's exactly what the Sock Aid does every time. The aid is strong but flexible and the terry cloth covers stays firmly in place. Positioning of the sock on the aid is tricky as to how much of the sock it will slide onto your foot. I have never been able to get the entire sock all the way up on my ankle but that part I can reach. If you can't, it's going to take a lot of trial and error. I have a large feet and if you are blessed with smaller feet it might work even better I suspect.

Works Well and Helps You Keep Your Independence

What a lifesaver for my dad. He fell and broke his shoulder and was able to figure out a way to do everything for himself but put on his socks. He is incredibly independent and didn't want to lose that. He had been staying with me and with his sister and was so upset that he just couldn't figure out how to do this. I got on here and found this and am so glad I did. He said it works fantastically and now he is able to fully dress himself in the morning and get out and about as he needs to. Thank goodness for products like these that help people to keep their independence through difficult situations and aging. It's reasonably priced and well worth it.

Great help!

Recently, i suffered an injury and have had trouble pulling on my socks. I found this product at a local pharmacy and have been so pleased with it. It's so easy to use and makes putting on socks so much easier. You just follow the instructions on the enclosed picture (put the sock over the flat-covered pads, slide your foot into the sock, and then pull on the handles ). I ordered a second Sock Iad from Amazon so I could have one at home and one in a suitcase. Alos, the price on Amazon was much less.

In comparison to RMS Deluxe Sock Aid, this product is flimsy and feels cheesy, but it works for me and the sturdy, well-made device doesn't. I had to return the RMS item because it does not accommodate the opening of my standard men's socks. This product is flexible enough to accommodate my socks, and I caught on how to use it after only two tries.

Works Perfectly!

This little device works like a charm! I got mine in preparation for hip surgery, but tried it out the minute it arrived. It's sturdy and well thought out. To use it, you simply place the device in your lap and scrunch the sock over the device, place the device on the floor and insert your foot into the opening. Pull with the straps. The socks stays nicely seated on the device because of the rough outer fabric. Eliminates one problem associated with limited mobility, and I'm glad to know that socks won't be a problem in my recovery.
