never been excited about an orange vest before
So my company supplies us with pants, shirts, and a high vis vest. This was fine when I was a regular associate. I was promoted to a manager about a year ago. This means I now carry around a lot more stuff. Several pens, markers, notes, radio, etc..... The pants they supplied were not cargo style so I went out to and bought a couple of pairs of cargo style pants. Those did the job but they quickly wore out and guess who had to replace them....ME. A descent pair of pants run me at very minimum $40 but the ones I like actually run just under $60. So this got expensive fast. I needed away to carry what I needed while using the pants my company supplies so when they wear out they replace them. I gave this vest a try not thinking it would work but desperate to try something. When it came in I instantly knew this would work. I haven't had this long but the materials and construction just feels like it is gong to last a long time. The front pockets are quite large and the layout of the other pockets are very well thought out. The back pocket is enormous but not the most comfortable to have bulky things back there. I wear a 44" waist pants and was hesitant to order the 2xl/3xl size thinking it would be too big and loose. I ordered thinking if it was too big I could just pin tighter. But it was a perfect fit. It is not too tight yet snug enough that it doesn't flop around or hang loose. It really looks sharp actually. I have yet to wear this in the heat but it seems like it would be slightly warmer but probably not unbearable. I definitely think it is worth the extra money to get this quality.

Only one flaw (same one in two vests) for me.
Great vest EXCEPT for the right pocket (right as if it is being worn). This is my second of these vests. I replaced the other due to sun-fade (after 1.5 years) and the right bottom pocket becoming detached from the gray edging after just a few months. When I bought this one, I made sure not to use the right pocket in the event a repeat performance would occur. Well, I was successful for about two months, then I just got lazy and started using it. I began wearing the vest in March and here it is mid-August and the pocket has been torn from the stitching for about one month. So, the stitching lasted 5 months or so. Save for that flaw, the vest is great. It's the best one I've had in 22 years of construction. I definitely plan on getting the same one when this one wears out, I just hope the stitching is improved on the next go-around.

Functional for jobsite gadget freaks
I bought this since I have to use tape measure, camera, laser measure, and write notes in the field. This vest keeps me visible in a busy work environment and lets me juggle the tools of the trade while I am on site. This was the only one available for rush delivery, so I got the large size. A bit loose for me in summer, but it will be good if I have to layer it over cold weather jackets in the future. The zipper is easy to manage. I am usually putting this on to visit site, and taking off once back in the office. Much better than the velcro vests. I did find the pen/pencil slots a bit tight and short. Like others said, not good for markers or sharpies. the two larger pockets are very useful and the back pouch could be useful in the future.

I'll but another one if this one ever wears out
Vest is better than I expected and for less $$$ than other "name brands". I'm a jobsite Superintendent so I have to look sharp, can't just use any old orange T-shirt, but I wanted breathability in the back for hot summers. The pockets don't leave anything to be desired- camera, phone up front, plans roll up in the rear pouch, its laid out similar to a hunting vest. Size Large is pretty large, depending on what you need it for. I'm a pretty big guy, fit and XL t-shirt normally and the Large/XL vest allows wear of a hoody underneath on cold days. It's pretty big. Great vest for the price, don't look elsewhere or pay more. I would buy again.

Comfortable and Useful
My only complaint would be that they need to make smaller sizes. I’m 6’2 and 180 lbs and the S/M is kinda big still. Other than that I got a lot of compliments and the pockets and pouches are useful.

High quality, but very over-sized.
This appears to be a high quality vest, but is extremely over-sized. I'm a quite slight guy (30" waist, 5'8") so I ordered the size small/medium. What I got is a "S/M" vest that fit more like an XL. I installed 4 sets of snaps on each side to take in about 6" of total girth, and now it fits a little better (the length was a good fit to start with). So, long story short, do not get this vest if you want a trim fit, and if you are a "larger" medium the vest I got would definitely fit you with room for several jackets underneath.

Excellent vest but be careful with sizing
Very well made, heavy duty vest. My husband wears large or extra large shirts and large jackets, but after reading reviews about sizing, I ordered a s/m vest. He tried it on over some layers and there was plenty of room, even with a jacket on. He is 5'11" 197 and a large vest would have been huge....stick with the s/m for anyone wearing anything below extra large jackets.
