Good ones
Was expecting for both starps to be stretchable, however only the top one is stretchable, the bottom one is not, made from canvas or polyester.. It does the job of keeping my knees safe from the floor, gravel, tou name it. So in total, worth it!

Durable if a bit bulky
I bought these in 2012 for mixed-use. I didn't use them every day for all those years but I did use it on average 2 days a week for about 4 years. These feel solid while wearing them and you'll be quite comfortable kneeling in them anywhere clean or, even dusty although I wouldn't recommend muddy places. I've only washed them once after getting lots of sawdust on them and they survived. They are a bit bulky, especially, if you're short like I am but, they should feel fine for those of average height or taller. After my use period, the notch on one is tearing so, its a matter of time before that pad needs replacing. Based on the build I'd say they'd last a good year of true daily use The weak point of mine were in the elastic band for the strap and the stitching around the notch that tore. I do miles worth of walking in these over a days time when worn and what in a little annoying is the need to retighten them every few hours, as well as catching the knee pads on the rungs of ladders when climbing up. These may relly be perfect Pads for those that don't walk alot but, kneel most of time as the rubber coating is soft with good grip, durable and comfortable to spend extended time on. I have tried some basic HDX foam pads which are cheap and light and easy to pack but were easier to lose especially after the velcro started to wear out. I would consider purchasing these again and would recommend it to others at least as an option to keep for certain jobs.

Description different than product
Description read it would be a hook & loop, the ones that arrived are velcro. Still useful but a bit tedious. Still durable as always.

What can I say? They work!
I've tried a number of comparable knee pads, but these are among the best, regardless of how much you spend and regardless of the work you'll be doing. I have used them for tactical drills/practice at work (I'm in law enforcement) and I've also used them for a carpentry/flooring project at home. For both applications, they do something that in my opinion makes them perfect: they go away. That is to say that when using them, you simply don't notice them at all. Doing the flooring project, the only thing I noticed was the fact that it didn't hurt my knees to kneel on the plywood floor all day long. So, they're comfortable. What else? The construction is absolutely bulletproof. The rubber cap is hard enough to be durable, but soft enough to flex a bit; not much flex is needed, due to the design of the product. The straps could be a tiny bit thicker, but that's only for vanity's sake: I'd like them to lay flatter, for the looks of it, but again, the comfort of them is so good that you just don't notice them, so I suppose they got it right. :) The strap attachment system uses a hole and post system, which can be clearly seen in the photos of the product. This system works quickly and easily, even with heavy gloves on. http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/71bx-jjF75S._AA1400_.jpg Okay, so: ultimate comfort; rugged, quality construction; and, if you're into this also (as I am) a very nice tactical look. My 17 year-old son described them, when worn with my tactical gear, as looking "legit". Hope that helps. If you're looking for a good, versatile, comfortable, ruggedly built knee pad, for a decent price - look no further.

They work, sort of
I have had a lot of use out of these knee pads doing yard work and projects around the house. They do a good job of protecting the knees. But, the top strap always comes loose, which is an annoying inconvenience. I cannot imagine a tradesperson or similar professional using these because they would be constantly wasting their time tightening the top strap. Also, there is a thin layer of foam padding on the inside of these which tends to roll up over time, so you have to try and roll it back down while putting them on to get the full benefit of the padding.

Real nice
I bought these about a year ago. I'm a mobile auto detailer, so I put these on 5 times a week fur about two hours. Pros' it's durable plastic, and comfortable, there are times I get into the car with them on. Cons' you will have to wash them because they get sweat salty smelling. Dunk it in water with soap

Great Knee pads
I work in a big box home improvement retailer and use these daily. They are extremely comfortable, and save my knees a lot of pain. I have a prepatellar bursa (sack above your knee cap) prone to inflamation and this helps greatly. I actually am okay getting on my knees now. One feature on the product I really enjoy is that the straps your an eye-type hook to secure around your leg. The top strap is elastic while the bottom is nylon (i believe). My only complaint (and it is minor) is I have to stop once in a while to tighten the straps (takes a second so no biggie).

Not bad
These knee pads are pretty good. I really like the rubber as opposed to the hard plastic. A lot more comfortable. I haven't had a chance to test them in the field yet but as of right now I like them. Wear them for a few hours around the house and they will pretty much break themselves in. The straps are awesome. None of that velcro crap. They are legit.

I'm happy with the product
I'm happy with the product. Even though I'm very skinny, the good strong velcro straps basically keep this slightly oversized unit on my knees and protects them. I need to readjust them now and again (because I'm skinny --> and I don't mind). But if you,re an average or large built guy, these pads are just what you've been looking for! Buy them and you'll thank yourself!

Tough, good looking and comfortable.
These tough tactical looking knee pads are the best I have found. Use them regularly and they get the job done comfortably!
