Pets and plants
I bought this to use on my covered deck which is closed in with heavy plastic for the winter. I needed something to keep my outdoor plants alive. They are alive and thriving for the winter with the Ener-G+ I also have indoor pets who go on the screened in deck over the summer and with this I can also allow my pets to be on the deck so they have a little more space than my 400sq ft house. I will buy another one when I get my green house built. It defiantly does the job it says it will do.

Radiant heat that works great!
To explain how this works, I think people are confused. The heat is like standing in the sun, the beams warm you--not the area. I use these in my barn for foaling/lambing and kidding.......and when I am working in the winter in the barn. Works great, I use mine as a stall heater in the barn,I use it myself when cleaning stalls. I bought two--that have I have rotated around height wise (I lower closer to the sheep/lambs) and raise higher for horses/foals. I have had mine a few years--now (I believe)--one did break when the goats kept turning it off and on. I am happily going to order more! They are the safest, I have found to have that won't burn everything around it. The warmth on the skin is notable...and will warm me significantly, when working under it.

Great value looks awesome
I purchased two of these for our 10x20 canopy tent that we take to travel ball tournaments and was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked. It was in the 40's last night and these heaters kept the canopy toasty. Out of all the teams there, ours was definitely the envy of the event!

My goats LOVE THIS!
My goats LOVE THIS!!! We use one in the stall with our goats that are giving birth and we have one in the barn with my kids show rabbits. What I love about it in the bunny barn is that it dries the air, so it's not so stinky in the winter time. Excellent product, we will probably buy another few for our mares when they are foaling in the spring.

Not worth it for my purposes
The heat output was pathetic on my covered back porch, but perhaps my expectations were unreasonable. I could see it slightly taking the edge off a small enclosed room. Or if it's already 60 degrees outside and you'd like it to be 65 degrees standing directly below it. I returned it.

My 1st heater lasted 8 years, so bought a new one!
I bought my 1st heater @ a garage sale 8 yrs ago & used it above my bed 6-9 months out of the year every year. The pull chain finally wore out, & I bought this new 1 & expect it last even longer.

Helps take the edge of cool evenings in the cabana - but heating element is NOT really replaceable
My first Energy+ electric patio heater lasted over 6 years. It is perfect for taking the cool out of the air when sitting in the cottage cabana. Be aware this is not really a "space heater" but infra red heat that warms your face / arms like sun does. When the time came to replace one of the four glass tube heating elements I was pleased to learn from the manufacturer that they do sell them for Cdn$30 per pair. After further consideration I decided it was time to simply replace it, so bought by 2nd unit. When the main heating element burned out after 5 minutes, I decided to have them send me a replacement element for free under warranty, thinking it would be a simple "clip in" type change over. In fairness they did warn me that it is not a simple replacement. That was an understatement. It is very challenging (almost impossible) because you need to remove virtually every screw and nut, plus UN-SOLDER several connections, then re-thread the wires through small metal tubes. It is really designed to be thrown away.

Excellent Heater For Patio Shelter
Good quality heater. I have used this heater many times with my patio shelter and I am impressed at how much heat this product produces. It extends the use of our patio in the spring and fall due to colder temperatures and I would buy this product again without any hesitation. Works perfect for my needs.

Would be fine, large element does not work.
The larger heating element did not work out of the box. The 600w is fine, and it would be perfect for our needs if it heated at 1500w. I contacted the manufacturer and am waiting for callback. Still under return eligibility period with Anazon. Will probably replace by the same, unless manufacturer offers a replacement element, and update the review.

Okay inside but no use outside
Looks okay but even when sitting under our outdoor canopy with the temperature 20C (68 F) and no wind we could not feel any heat when hanging 7 feet away. So perhaps okay inside a small room or to warm something a couple of feet away but not useful to help keep warm outside.
