Lots of positives but not at all worth the price - take a hard look at the ingredients
I'm a skincare junkie. Fortunately I have dry/combo skin that isn't very sensitive so it's pretty easy for me to try and switch up products without much issue. I was really excited to try this to see if it was worth the hype. I've known Elemis as a great brand but haven't had much first hand experience with it myself. First on the price. I'm no stranger to probably paying more than I should on skincare products. I have some luxury lines but once things start going past the $150 mark, I start to become a bit skeptical. So yes, when this clocks in at $340, I have extremely high expectations, as everyone should. In short, I thought this was pretty disappointing for the price point. It's just not worth it, especially if you take a hard look at the ingredients. There are MANY that are highly irritating including a ridiculous amount of fragrance ingredients. I'll post the ingredients at the end of the review as they can be difficult to find- I dug them up so you don't have to! So, my personal experience with this, it is not something I'd be repurchasing. That's not to say it's all bad- not at all. I just don't see the value being there to spend over $300 on. The good: - The packaging is very luxe and special. - I also really appreciate that this is a pump and an opaque container to protect the product from air and light - Absorbs very quickly into skin and feels really nice. It is a bit thicker than a lot of serums but I have had no issues with layering this under moisturizer. No pilling or other issues. - Does not seem to irritate my skin (again, my skin isn't very sensitive so this may not be a good indicator if your skin *is* sensitive) - There are some nice ingredients in here including some good antioxidants The not so good: - The fragrance is overpowering and I really can't take it. It smells like old lady perfume to me. I don't tend to be very sensitive to fragrance (and it fortunately doesn't really irritate my skin) but this is just way too much. It does seem to go away quickly but I'd rather there was just a natural smell than whatever the heck this is. In looking at the ingredients, there are a TON of perfuming agents. AT LEAST eleven by my count which is just bonkers. Ick. If you have sensitive skin or aren't a fan of fragrance in skincare, steer clear. - The price point. I know this is probably a statement of the obvious but $340 is just insane for 30ml (slightly over 1oz) and that's coming from a gal that loves some good high end skincare (Tatcha, Perricone, etc.). But does it work? For me, it made my skin feel good but I honestly didn't notice any dramatic difference. I regularly use a different collagen product (and cycle with different retinol products, vitamin c products, etc.) and I didn't see this being markedly different. Maybe others will have more drastic effects but for me it wasn't anything to write home about. My skin isn't perfect as I'm in my mid-30s but the results themselves didn't blow me away. This one didn’t last the same I bought on my cruise
Cost the same - the first one last 3 months and this one less than a month - crazy

Expensive but worth it
I've been using this cream for a few months now, and now feel confident in saying that it's worth it despite the three figure price tag. Here's why - the smell is strong but not obnoxious - you can skip the cologne or other perfumes if you use this - unlike some cheaper stuff, this cream is easily absorbed by the skin. the directions say to use one or two pumps, but I find that it's so absorbable, you might need three. I guess that's bad because it means you'd run out sooner... - after using the cream, the skin looks a bit more radiant. it's hard to explain - it's not oily reflections, but for some reason the skin looks a bit fuller, if that makes sense? - great as a gift too - the outer box and the can itself are both elegant and refined. as expected of a luxury British brand.

Fantastic stuff -- actually works but is cost prohibitive
Look, this stuff really WORKS. As a mid-30s male, I've never really cared much about how my face "looked" -- wrinkles and crow's feet were all welcome. When I had the chance to give this product a trial, I thought, why not? After a few days of testing, I ended up incorporating this into my daily routine religiously. What I noticed after a week or so of use was that my face stayed moisturized throughout the day, even with a single pump in the morning of before I would head out for the day. Used in conjunction with the eye serums and night time moisturizer, this thing really works. I'm now about a month into using the product, and I've even noticed a reduction in my crow's feet and lines that hitherto I just accepted as part of life as I aged. I've tried cheaper, alternative creams and moisturizers in the past, but none have had the effect this has had. It's soft, velvet-like texture and really wonderful fragrance are added bonuses. This really leaves your face smelling "nice" throughout the day as well. My biggest complaint is simply the cost. While this will last you a LONG-TIME, especially at just a single pump a day, it is hardly a "cost effective" approach. I can't help but think you're spending a lot of extra $ on marketing, packaging (which is very sleek!), and the name of the brand. I'm sure some of their "macro and micro algae" technology is part of the reason for the success, but does it justify the price point? That's only for you to decide. For me, I'll probably let my crow's feet and face lines settle back in once I'm done with this bottle.

Absorbs to skin well
ULTRA SMART Pro-Collagen Complex 12 Serum It has a nice scent and soft velvety texture. It absorbs to the skin well and helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. I followed the instruction and massaged onto my face 1-2 pumps morning and night. Unfortunately, I used a different brand for moisturizer but it still hydrated my skin very well. Just hoped it wasn't this pricey because the serum only lasted about three weeks. It didn't have an expiration date but it is to be used within 6 months after initial use.

Elemis ULTRA SMART
I have used two other products from the Elemis ULTRA SMART range & was impressed. It targeted my fine lines & my skin def appeared smoother (after just 2 weeks) I apply at night, rather than twice a day - reason being, the price tag! The texture is gel like & very hydrating. I use 1 pump & follow with ELEMIS ULTRA SMART Pro-Collagen Night Genius recovery cream. Being a Brit, I love supporting a British company. Just wish it was a little cheaper. But you do pay for quality!

Drying
I had ordered this as well as another product of theirs. The presentation is great and the product smells luxurious, but unfortunately, it dried my face out. I do not know if it was this item or their moisturizer that is what caused it - or both.
