Best cardboard donut bed

I've tried a few different kinds of cardboard donut-shaped cat beds now and this one is the best! It's all about the angle of dip into the inner donut - many other brands have a sharp edge on the inner donut, but this one is rounded, so the inner donut is nice and cozy and way easier for the cat to rest his head! It is a little expensive now at $33, I see one other reviewer saying it was $10 at some point and I'm just praying that prices go down to $10 again so I can stock up on these!

This cat bed is interesting because it assembles accordion style, which means that it actually can be assembled into three different shapes (folded to either side to create different bell shapes that maybe some cats would use as scratching posts, or spread flat to create the cat bed). It's nice and big. It's not soft like corrugated cardboard- press on the cat bed and you will feel that the edges of the paper are a just a little bit sharp. The paper is thin but strong and it's not layered like cardboard- it's literally an accordion of individual heavy-duty sheets of paper. My cats avoided it until I spread a thin, small, blanket over it, and now one of them lays in it often. I'm going to dull the paper edges a little bit with sandpaper. Overall, a fantastic purchase, especially for the price! I am happy with this purchase.

An excellent $10 pet bed

A great but extremely temporary cat bed. We bought it for just under $10 and the fact that it is now listed for three times that is very surprising, because this is not a $30 cat bed. It's definitely going to fall apart in the next few months. We've had it for less than a month and it's starting to deform under the weight of our kitten, who isn't even a year old yet, and is about 7lb, maybe 8 at the most. The donut hole in the center is separating and no amount of pressing on the sides can force it back into shape. And if you have a cat that likes to claw on cardboard, that will significantly shorten the life of this bed, since the cardboard is not thick. It's more like poster board, there's just lots of layers of it. In all, I think it's a good cat bed to get for under $10, so long as you keep in mind that it's not going to last forever.
