Not PVC

I ordered this vent hoping not to have to paint it as it said it was made of PVC. However, when I received the vent, it was made entirely of wood and needed painting. I didn't want anything that would need continuous care such as keeping it painted to prevent rotting wood. It was well made and would have been a nice product for anyone looking for a wood product that can be painted to match the house color, it just wasn't what I was looking for.

Nicer than I expected

I looked at a lot of these to cover a large hole left in the side gable of my house after removing a big central AC unit mounted on the side of the house. This actually looks really great and will allow for ventilation without risking letting in pests.

Well made an fully functional. My whole house fan is now supercharged with this additional attic vent.

This is not a PVC

The media could not be loaded. This gable is definitely made of wood and when I contacted the manufacture they are recommending to paint it. I can also see glow outside on the bottom of the vent that can not be painted and they are recommending that I can sand it down . what a waste of time . will return this garbage today.
