For the EGO fan!

This EGO Power+ power station is getting what I consider a lot of unfair criticism in the customer review section. Yes, if you have no other EGO+ product and no other need for EGO batteries there are cheaper power station solutions out there. But also Yes, if you already own multiple EGO Power+ products, especially those that came with the 5 Ah or greater batteries this is a very logical thing to purchase for short-term portable/backup power needs. Currently I own a 7.5 Ah, two 5 Ah, and two 2.5 Ah batteries and I not only like that I can now use those batteries for backup needs but also that I have a single place I can charge/store the batteries through the years. Some of the criticism that this isn't a fast charger I think is unfair as it's not like you still don't have your fast chargers that came with the original products available to you when in need to charge quickly. This power station is sits well on a table we have in our utility room. For long-term power outages I still plan to utilize my Honda gas inverter but you can't bring that into the house like you can this power station. My only criticism is that the EGO app has issues. Partly, the app doesn't seem fully compatible with newer phones and newer versions of Android. It doesn't work well on my Pixel 6. I could get the app work on an Android tablet but only via bluetooth and not WiFi. Then again, the power station can work without an app and I find that I rarely look at the app anyway. However, because of the app frustrations even me as an EGO fan couldn't give this power station a perfect rating.

Great way to leverage existing batteries

If you run a larger mitre saw you may need a soft/easy start option or it will put this in to protection mode. My 10" table saw was ok, but larger 12" mitre knocks it out. From what I gather there use to be an easy/soft start inline thing you could buy for $29. I can't find anything that cheap now and $130+ is a bit steep for the ability to remotely run my mitre saw which was about the same price. Everything else I threw at it its done ok. Does well at slow charging the batteries vs running my fast chargers.

Portable Power

As the owner of several other E-GO products, and already owning 4 batteries, I decided to buy this for portable power. Living in FL, it will also come in handy for instant back-up power to use during hurricane season. I can run my small TV, lamps, fans, and my small refrigerator until the hurricane passes and I can run my gas generator. Works great! Fantastic addition to my E-GO products.

Great for Florida power outages

Its bad ass but to expensive lets hope it lasts. Also batteries are ridiculously expensive they better last too. I have the mower so i thought what the hay. Works good will run my full size fridge for 22hrs b4 my 7.5ah batteries need to be charged

Useful Backup for Ego Tool Users

I had to write a short review after buying an Ego mower with a bad battery, although new. Still. waiting for the replacement from customer service, who says they are out of the latest battery type. Not a great first impression for a top-rated mower from Consumer Reports. In the meantime, I had to get another battery to mow the lawn. Meanwhile, I saw this and knew this would be useful during the winter if the power goes out since I will have at least two batteries soon. (I hope?) Here's what I found from it: Setting up WiFi on this thing was incredibly hard. I had to use a YouTube video to troubleshoot and had to set up a separate WiFi network just to get it to work. Ridiculous. They need to update their app ASAP, I think? Otherwise, this unit is slick and seems to work with just one battery. I haven't had time to test it long-term, but this thing is really bigger and more solid than I thought, and I will be very happy to have it on hand in times of emergency.

EGO Nexus Power Station provides awesome peace of mind

I recently purchased the EGO Nexus Power Station after doing some critical research of portable gas (gasoline/propane) generators and battery powered inverters. The Power Station was a perfect fit for my particular situation. Storm related power outages of up to 24 hours are a reality in Hawaii, more an inconvenience than life threatening, altho we do have tsunamis and hurricanes from time to time. The Power Station can be safely used inside my home, none of the dangerous fumes that gas generators produce. It is quiet, even when the fans kicks in to help keep the system cool, unlike the loud gas motors of generators. It is super easy to use, just a push of a button and it’s ready to power, no hard pulling of a starter cord. No need to worry about gas, oil, spark plugs, just snap in the batteries, quick, clean and easy. I purchased 2 EGO 7.5 amp batteries to compliment the stock I already have to provide added emergency power. I tested the Power Station with just the two 7.5s and powered my 25 cubic inch fridge for over 4 hours using a little more than 25% of the available power of the batteries (Fridge compressor turned on 2 times). I also tested the portability of the Power Station, running a vacuum cleaner to clean out my car and powering a multitool to fix a broken sprinkler pipe outside my fence line. I also vacuumed the inside of my house and ran my computer for about an hour. Together, the fridge, vacuum, multitool and computer used around 50% of the available power of the 2 batteries. The Power Station w/ the 2 batteries weighed in at around 45 lbs. With its carry handles it was light enough for me to carry around the yard/house with no problems. The downside of the Power Station is charging the batteries during a blackout. But GOOD NEWS! EGO will be selling a solar charging adaptor later this month for around $150. The recommended solar panels for this charger sell for less than $100 on Amazon. This is a must have, must buy option for me!

Excelente soporte durante los cortes de luz.

Compré el centro de carga como apoyo a mi trabajo desde casa. Adquirí por separado las baterias, y la inversión ha valido la pena cuando las reparaciones para restablecer la energía eléctrica tardan más de 8 horas. Lo recomiedo con el uso de varias baterias.

Que hay de las baterías!!

El producto se ve bien, aunque no puedo probarlo porque en México no se comercializan las baterías de 10ah, y las que venden son de 2.5ah y 5ah a un super precio vs el respaldo que te proporcionan, esto no es funcional.
