Fragrance free and doesn’t leave residue on utensils
I don’t like strong smelling dishwasher tablets that leave a chemical smell post wash. That’s why I thought of trying these tablets as they claim to be plant based without strong smell. To be honest I wasn’t expecting quite a lot from this product but it left me pleasantly surprised! There is no strong smell and it cleans the utensils so well without leaving and residue behind. The only con as others mentioned is the individual plastic wraps. If they could switch to a paper based wrap it would be be more better. Overall a great and safe product!

LOVE this product!
Alright I understand while being an eco-friendly product it still has its faults, most specifically the fact that they are individually wrapped. But I think people need to understand these are natural & when these pods get tossed around in warehouse + transit they can lose their shape & powder chips off. I think if they weren’t wrapped we’d be seeing a lot more complaints about when they arrived they were essentially powder in a box which defeats the use of a tablet in the first place. So to me the eco pros outweigh the cons.. the wrappers are still recyclable! Plus the ingredients are biodegradable, natural AND water/fish safe which is huge for me as a diver. What other detergent brand have you ever seen that’s actually fish friendly???! For my specific situation I have a countertop dishwasher as my small kitchen has zero room for a normal one but dishes are my least favorite (essentially intolerable gross chore—wet food just freaks me out tbh). With that said, I’m especially conscious about the detergent I’m using as it drains right into my sink & I need everything to dissolve appropriately. You’re not supposed to half tablets (although I’m sure I could) these are AMAZING!! They could easily clean a normal sized washer worth of dishes. Everything comes out clean & spotless!! I’ve put my small glass Pyrex in here, SPOTLESS! I put a 2.5qt crock dish with impossibly caked on brown rice residue that I tried & failed to hand scrub many times before… also came out perfectly clean & gleaming! I could not recommend this dishwasher detergent more! Even in my small machine the tablet is dissolved & it doesn’t leave residue.. not to say these tablets aren’t powerful, obviously! My machine has a window so I can see how much soap/foam is inside & it’s a big amount which makes me fully confident in saying it’d also do work in a full size machine. As for the scent, I don’t really smell it but I don’t need my dishes to smell good unless I’m smelling the food I put in them so that’s no issue for me. The lemon ones just happened to be cheaper at my time of purchase otherwise I would’ve gone with fragrance free anyways.

Good qaulity
I recently tried Ecover Automatic Dishwasher Soap Tablets in Citrus and I'm impressed with the quality. The only downside is that it's a bit hard to open the individual tablets. Despite this, I will definitely be buying them again.

I didn't think that trying to find an alternative for Cascade pods would actually take five hours out of my life doing online research. Who knew? the variety, the angry reviews, the PolyVinyl Alcohol?! Sheesh. Okay so the only downside with these suckers is the fact that you will wonder what that CLUNKING sound is when the tablet drops, and you have to unwrap each one like a piece of bad candy. The first couple of tries might piss you off, but after that you'll get the hang of it. you just gotta pinch the tabs right with your fingernails! Hopefully these plastic condoms in a landfill are less damaging than the polyvinyl alcohol in the reclaim water/ground water/water water. Ha. Lesser of two evils I suppose. The other upside is the fact that I can't taste this stuff on my silicone and plastic dishwares. For the record I ain't running anything fancy, just a mini Frigidaire FFBD182, and I use white vinegar as a rinse agent, with the valve/release setting on "high" Overall happy with this product. FIVE hours of my life gone, researching an alternative. If you're in the same boat hopefully this helps!

Best eco friendly product we have found so far
Hey everyone, I recently tried the Ecover Natural Dishwasher Detergent and wanted to share my thoughts on it. Overall, I was really impressed with its performance and eco-friendliness. Nice tablets
I have a small portable dishwasher so I cut these in half (not super easy to do but I managed to do it). Dishes came out clean and sparkly! I will say however they leave a residue so I'm going to make the size I use even smaller. I'd say use 1/2 tablet for normal sized dishwasher and 1/4 tablet for these portable ones.

GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY & ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY
I was given a box of this dishwasher detergent to try, even though I didn't think I would go back to a powder product as I'm so used to the pods but I am so glad that I did. It cleans the dishes better than pods ever did and I never have detergent residue left over like I used to with the other top brands with bits of plastic or detergent. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a dishwasher.

Very disappointed
I used to buy these and they worked great but lately the dishes started coming out hazy and residue of the white powder was on most dishes after a complete cycle. At first I thought it was my dishwasher and I cleaned it several times. Then I decided to try another brand just in case. Well, my dishes came out great so it’s definitely not my dishwasher. This batch of the product is not like the ones I bought before. I’m very disappointed because I ordered a big quantity in advance and now I’m stuck with several boxes that I won’t be able to use or return.

I love this stuff!
I’m so glad that I decided to take the chance and buy all 8 boxes of this product. I was apprehensive at first because of the price, but the reviews overall were positive; and I am now another positive reviewer! I absolutely love this soap! It cleans very well. I have not found any powdered residue on my dishes and have been using for over a month now. Great cleaning action, plus, I feel better knowing that I am using an environmentally-friendly product.

No weird after smell/taste
We've tried a few product similar to this one and this one has been the most effective and the least noticeable when it comes to smell/taste left behind. I was hesitant to get so many boxes at once, but I can honestly just take a glass out of the washer, fill it with water and drink it without any weird residue or flavours. Couldn't find locally, so lots of boxes it is.

Better than what I was using before
I was really expecting this to be weak detergent, as a lot of eco-friendly options are. I was wrong. Better than the tablets I was using from the store, and at a fraction of the cost. I'm impressed, and I'm glad that I took the risk. I will definitely repurchase... in a year or two, after I've gone through all 8 boxes. Good stuff.
