Truly unscented - great for sensitive folks!

As an autistic person very sensitive to smell, I've struggled to find a dishwashing detergent that didn't cause me to gag or get a headache as it fills the room with nasty, steamy fragrance. Finally, I tried these Ecover unscented tablets, and everything was better! Hope they're available forever!! Everything I've given these tablets has come out super clean without issue, even caked-on and greasy pans, though nothing was extreme. It does leave faint spots on some surfaces (especially noticeable on tritan plastic) but a quick rinse removes this easily. It could be a result of water hardness, not necessarily the detergent's fault. If I had any complaint, it would only be that an eco-friendly product wrapped in individual plastic seems to be a waste -- but I don't know how else you could package these tablets to ensure that they aren't damaged by humidity, or get stuck together in the box, or get turned prematurely gummy by wet hands. Maybe as better alternatives are developed, they can change the packaging. For now, Ecover unscented is the best detergent I've ever used!

Best for Hard water!!

I searched high and low for a baby friendly dishwasher detergent for our mini dishwasher. These are it! After my fifth time ordering them I figured they deserve a review. Perfect for hard water. No water spots! Sometimes there is a little powder residue when water pools in a dish and then air dries, but most likely it’s because I am using a dishwasher that’s 1/4 of the size. If that happens I just rinse it off.

Works well but lose the wrappers

I have been trying to lessen my use of chemicals and become more plant based. I was very excited to find a plant based dish detergent that worked. The product itself is fantastic. It works very well on grease and grime without leaving a chemical odor. My only complaint is the individually plastic wrapped tabs. I will be trying the loose powder next.

I love these

I love these. They do great, especially since they’re natural and very affordable. Sure, they don’t do as good on super greasy items like Cascade does, but these are truly fragrance free and doesn’t make your dishwasher or dishes stink (we would always get the wet dog smell with cascade). I will always use these going forward. Also, the wrapper doesn’t bother me whatsoever. I actually prefer it like that so it’s harder for my kitten to get into them if he opens the kitchen cabinet.

Not so environmentally friendly...

Good price, however 2 issues; 1 the tablets are wrapped in plastic that does not recycle so not so good for environment and 2: dishes have funky smell after the wash. Now I have used other detergents and also have regularly cleaned my dishwasher but these tabs definitely leave an unbearable oder. Would not recommend.

I cut them in hald for my mini dishwasher

I hated my previous tablets as sometimes the cutlery or wood would retain a vague smell/taste of soap, Ecover is fabulous and I cut the tabs in half with a knife to use less in my small dishwahser.

Cleans beautifully

Cleans beautifully. Does not leave any residue. Dishes are cristal clear. I will purchase again for sure. Really love that it is ecologically better than what I was using and healthier option for people.

Best Natural Dishwasher Detergent I've Found!

Free of gut-irritating ingredients and works much better in my dishwasher than Seventh Generation. Nellie's is good too but I think this one's better!

A little misleading.

Super disappointed in this product... For an "Eco" brand, to have each individual detergent pod wrapped in wasteful plastic? Having to take my dishes out of the dishwasher and scrub them with water to remove the vicious chemical smell left on them? 100% would not recommend to anyone who cares about their own health or the environment.

A rare find!!

At last I have found dishwasher tablets that are not perfumed. These are brilliant as there is no lingering perfume in the kitchen afterwards, which irritates my throat. They clean beautifully without the chemicals. The only downside is you cannot buy them in the shops and they are more expensive than the standard Ecover tablets.
