So pretty and soft

Nice selection of brushes for finishing touches
I got a different set than the one that's advertised, mine included two hair clips, no travel case, and only three brushes. The three brushes are for use with finishing products (so for applying powder/blush) and there is a handy guide on the back of the box which directs you on which brush to use for what purpose. Each brush then has its corresponding name printed on the handle, so its easy to follow the instructions how to use them to get the best results. The small brush is for blending under your eyes and at-home, there is then a larger brush to apply blusher and a fan shaped highlighter brush for the finishing touches on your cheeks and nose. The brushes themselves are soft to touch and the bristles are densely packed and secure. The bamboo handles are smooth and light. All brushes took the powder well and applied it evenly and not too thickly. I've had brushes that have felt better quality than these and with softer bristles, but these are still very good and well priced. The set with the travel case would be very useful; the two clips that have been included in this set are very wide and aren't practical for my fine hair. They also cheapen the set and make it look like its aimed at teenagers. If you're looking to purchase make sure you order the set with the travel case as I feel these would be a better option.

Ethical beauty brand set of jade infused brushes
Eco tools is a brand that I admire. The ethics behind this brand means that I can use dabble in the world of beauty without any cruelty to animals having occurred, for the sake of vanity. This brand is a PETA approved beauty brand that designs and produces products not tested on animals, and have no animal by products in the ingredients. The handles are made from a sustainable bamboo source, meaning it’s a renewable plant that causes no harm to the planet. The packaging itself is biodegradable and again- causes no harm to the planet. This makeup brush set is all of that plus jade infused. Which is a stone that has become widely popular recently as it’s been proven to help with signs of ageing, and with keeping the skin soft and smooth. Applying makeup with these applicators is quick and easy, and ensures a smooth, crease free finish. I enjoy the easy to hold handles, the softness of the applicators themselves, and the flawless finish that I can achieve. The brushes are also easy to clean with makeup brush cleaner, its pretty simple. The set really doesn’t have enough brushes for all the different tools that you’ll need for a full face of makeup, but it’s a good starter kit, and one that can be used in conjunction with other applicators in their line. The brushes come with a handy travel pot, which is handy for using when travelling, and for storing. The price point is actually really good for what you get. I know for me it’s worth paying even a little more to an ethical beauty brand. This set is also a lovely little stocking filler gift for a loved one.

Good quality but not what I requested
The picture shows 4 brushes and a holder but I received 3 brushes and 2 hair clips. I have given it 4 stars as it isn't the correct item so people could be disappointed at not getting what they ordered and from reading the other 2 reviews present at this time, one of the other people received the wrong item too. As for what I did receive, it came in a nice display box so would make a nice gift for someone who wears face make-up. There are 3 brushes for finishing powders, a large brush that I think is ideal for blusher, a fan shaped brush for bronzer or highlighter and a smaller brush for concealer or to highlight small areas such as the inner corners of your eyes. The brushes are all nice and soft and feel like good quality, the bristles aren't coming out even with a light pulling to test. The hair clips are pretty, one is rose quartz and the other is amethyst and are cold so I assume are genuine stones. I don't know if all sets contain the same two clips or if they may vary as this isn't what was supposed to be in this set; they are very pretty and hubby is particularly impressed with them, he thinks they look neat. They are good quality brushes and I expect that they actual set in this listing will be of the same quality but be aware that you might not get what you ordered.

Great set of brushes but not the set in the picture.
I was actually sent a different set to the picture. I was sent a set with 3 brushes and 2 hair pins but no container for the brushes. My girlfriend says the brushes look and feel really nice, the colour of the bristles is nice and they're incredibly soft while the bamboo handles are very comfortable to hold. The pins are probably more suited to a teen rather than adults in her opinion as they have large chunks of crystals wrapped onto the end. They work really well for their intended use, a definite step up from cheaper supermarket equivalents. The fact they're vegan and cruelty to animals free is a huge bonus. Assuming the set I was sent is a similar price to the intended one (I can't see this exact set on Amazon) then it represents decent value for money.

Great but not the product listed
Like other reviewers, I was sent a slightly different assortment of Eco Tools brushes - a set that contained hair clips and no storage tin - I hope that’s just mix-up with review products, and that buyers are being sent the correct item. I’m sure that my review will largely apply to the product listed anyway: EcoTools brushes are excellent - I already own some and not only I choose them because of their ethical sources, but they are actually of very good quality for the price. I only have two observations to make: one, I’m not too convinced about the benefits of infusing the bristles with jade - and where’s the jade mined from? Is that ethically sourced? Is there such thing as an ethically sourced mineral? Two, the jade hair clips are not particularly useful and I feel a storage tin or pouch would have been more appropriate as an ‘extra’ with this set. But I get that they contribute to the jade ‘theme’. All in all, I would certainly recommend Eco Tools. They’re a great brand making vegan brushes and proving that there is absolutely no need, in this day and age, to use animal bristles for make-up brushes.
