Amazing brush set

I knew this set had a good amount of brushes, but I was still surprised when I opened the package. This set is amazing and I almost feel like a professional makeup artist(believe me, I’m not lol). Definitely a great deal!

What Happened

Ok so I'm majorly into makeup! I'm constantly stopped and asked what eyeshadow what lip anf so on. But when tbey ask me how I always say first thing you need are great brushes. After all painting a masterpeice starts with the right tools! For years now I have been buying Shany brushes this was my third time buying these very ones I have remained very loyal because I really like them... This third set however has me upset... the brushes are not shaped the same as my old ones they do not have the same amount of bristles my old ones have much more per brush then my new ones even the fan brush that I have has a part in it and there should not be a part in my fan brush! I don't know if I just got a bad batch or if Shany is going down the drain... I'm trying to decide do I return these and get the same in hopes its a fluke or do I get another brand altogether? I'm doing something I did not think I would be doing what I'm doing again. I am searching for a new brand of brushes trying to figure out if I would be better off now leaving Shany... This makes me very sad because I've Loved These brushes very much throughout the years for now I will still weigh my options just return them, try them I don't know... even the case is not quite the same even the leather case! so I don't know what has changed it seems cheaper I don't like it I'm upset but I'm hoping I'll get over that or that I find some excellent new brushes... So I'm not saying necessarily Shany is all bad like I said I've loved the two before this... Just sad.. for now I'm adding a few pics to show how well they''ve worked for me in the past and will add photos of the actual brushes later!

Good booster, bad-ok starter set.

I'm giving these brushes/company the benefit of the doubt. I'd prefer 1 to 1.5 stars. Just opened my package and noticed a few things Pros: 1. Very soft bristles. Eye brushes are not up to $$$ expensive brushes but felt none - to little irritation when using them on the eye area. 2. Very inexpensive set. 3. A good range of brushes, while also having slight variations on the same brush in the set. This makes it a nice booster or exploration set. You can also figure out what variation of hardness and angle you'd like to look out for in future brushes. 4. Inexpensive set. I needed to mention it twice as the cost of this set is about 1/2 - 1/3 the cost of a single brush purchase for myself. 5. Nice little case. It's a wonderful and adequate holder for the brushes. If I'm ever traveling with brushes I would wrap them up in a soft shell organizer, then put them in a hard shell case. A shoe box or traveling case. Minor Cons: 1. The itemized list of brushes and their description is incorrect. I found 5 errors in my booklet. Not a deal for me but some may be a stickler about this. 2. My angled eyeliner was replaced with a straight liner. I found this humorous because A) I already have an angled liner that I prefer (E.L.F. & Sephora Pro). B) The plastic cap covering the brush was bent like it should be for an angled liner. It looked like when packing, someone was sleeping on the job. This is why I feel this set makes a better booster set then a starter one. 3. What I think is supposed to be a flat liner brush is a cylinder brush with an uneven edge. I've never seen this shape before. I have no idea what to do with it. It's not that the hairs are shedding, the whole knot is shaped into a cylinder. It is a minor and not a major con for myself considering I have other brushes. If you did not.... MAJOR Cons: 1. Out-of-the-box destroyed brush. This is the reason I'm writing this review. Picked up brush #5. It completely shed in my hand. Catastrophic failure. I have never seen this with any brush I've brought before. Paint brushes, makeup brushes, even shaving brushes. I have a feeling there was an issue with epoxy glue and curing time. I do NOT regret making my purchase. I am reminded of "you get what you pay for". This is a set I could let my 9 year old niece play with and not freakout if she damaged a brush. If you already have a pretty decent set this is great to supplement with. If you're just starting out and want to see what all the different brushes can do then it's okay/good. I'm completely biased in my opinion about that broken brush. Because of that I just can't in good conscience recommend without a warning.

Shany makeup brushes

okay I just got my brushes in the mail today!! I opened them up and the smell was awful!! it was really strong! but I must say that it was the only thing that I found wrong. the brushes are wonderful, I thought that they would be flimsy and just not work anything but they are very strong but soft if that makes any since. I looked over every brush, and they were good they were a little dusty for some reason but I flicked the dust off with my nail and then washed them with antibacterial soap, so they are drying now but when I was washing them they held up really good I tried my best, with all my might to pull the hair out of my brushes and not a one came out, at least I didnt see any! so I think the brushes are Great!! and the price is great. I also scrubbed my pouch to try a get some of the smell out it's still smelly( like a strong plastic) but its lighter since i washed it!! I hope this helps. okay I had to do an edit, this is the next day after I washed my brushes they look weird but all you need to do is rub your finger across each of them and all of the brush will be right back in place perfect!! one did have some hairs out of place put it was the way I laid it down to dry so be mindful of the when you wash them, I re-wet it and it was back in place if you was the handles(I did) they feel a little weird or sticky but that goes away when they dry! again these are Great brushs! and my name is Cheryl not marvin my husband has this account set up so it will prob. show his name!

Not bad....but break easily. Buy crazy glue

These are great brushes.....until they're not. They work well and are great for beginners but break easily. Within a year, five of the brushes had unglued from their handles. I repaired them with crazy glue but they continued to break so I eventually invested in a better, more expensive set. They don't hold colour particularly well but they do not lose their bristles which is a huge plus.

Came here super fast! They seem like good quality brushes I have yanked at the top of the brush and no hairs fell out (I haven't washed them yet) I have yanked at the part where they are glued together and they didnt fall apart. I cant wait to use them. I love the fact that they come with a case! (Even though it does stink but it is like that new car smell lol) update: still love them they collect well on the brushes I have had one thing of eye shadow and blush last me a whole year and that is with everyday use. I wash my brushes almost monthly and still no shedding! Recommend who looking for good quality brushes for a fraction of the cost.

Quality and looks like my Mac brushes

These are the brushes you want! I have been an (artist) painter many years and paid upwards of 45.00 for a single artist brush of genuine natural hair and these are comprable to those in every way. They pick up product easily, evenly and quickly so great for makeup. Luckily I have a blending brush because they don't provide the classic mid length super full brush that's so perfect for blending eyelid makeup but there are decent substitutes in this kit. Yes there are a couple of identical brushes which are in this kit but I prefer that for use on dark or light colours which I can keep separate - I hate trying to load enough light product to a brush I also use for smokey colors... I don't care for cleaning bridles! As with all good brushes take care not to smash any product into the hairs and the hairs will keep their shape for years! Yes the case smells but the smell dissipated quickly when unrolled overnight and smell becomes less and less. Now I'm going to have to fight myself to refrain from using these brushes if I need a new brush for any for my painting projects - that's for sure. Better buy another set...

Fast delivery (w/ Amazon PRIME) and great quality

Bristles are soft and better quality than expected! Came in one day (SUPER FAST) w/ Amazon PRIME. This makeup brush set is worth the price! Was ready to invest $100+ in Sephora brushes, but decided to try this out first! $25 32-piece brush set can't hurt your wallet or makeup collection! Also, forgot to mention on my review for SHANY Cosmetic eye shadow palettes.... SO WORTH THE PRICE! Pigmentation is GREAT! Was worried that I would have to apply generous amounts in order to get the color... BUT NOPE! Very little eye shadow goes a long way because the pigmentation is that great! Going to stock up on some SHANY Cosmetics!

Maybe too soft...

I purchased these because it seemed like the best valued deal. When they arrived I found that they weren't the texture I was expecting, they were really soft but perhaps too soft for makeup application. I needed some brushes for eye shadow and whatnot, but I wish there had of been more bigger brushes for overall face though. Overall, they worked alright so far for applying eye makeup. Update: I have been using the brushes for a bit for eye makeup and I find they don't pick up much product. The three that I use are still in good shape but they are hard to get completely clean.
