So far so good
So, just got the 16" power shovel last night and we just got snow and ice on top of it all day so had a good test case to try the unit. Putting it together was relatively easy and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Provided manual is not very friendly and requires some reading between the lines but I wouldn't consider it difficult overall. Once I got it assembled, I was able to try it on 3" inches of snow with a hard glaze of ice on top of it. Test surface was a wooden deck with pretty even/level pressure treated planks. The unit functioned perfectly and shot the snow quite far away and lot of aggression in it's throw with no vibration effect to the handle/user. Almost felt like using it on 3" snow is an insult to this unit as the official recommendation is a max of 8" of snow. I was able to clear the whole deck with no major effort on my back and within 1/10th of the time it would take me with a shovel. It has two midsize wheel the unit balances on which carries the weight of the unit and makes it easy to move around. It takes a little getting used to with the proper tilt angle where more upright to hold and push it it cuts the snow and fully clears the ground but if there are any uneven surface in front of you, even by 1/8" it will stop you on your tracks. Which was the case I have encounted on my wooden deck where there were few uneven spots. These can be easily addressed by either tilting it back a little to jump over the obstacle or maintaining a tilt permanently throughout. I would love to see a adjustable tilt option which does not exists as the unit purely designed for manual manipulation for angles and directions but no doubt it can be added with a little custom modification. Also, adjustable speed could be a nice option as I don't always want to thow the snow to 30 feet away. Then again for 80some dollars you can't expect too much. I can clearly see the impossibility of using this unit over any non flat and uneven surface. At a minimum you will get interruption or very likely you will destroy your auger which is rigid brittle looking plastic instead of a hard rubber which the bigger cousins of this design uses in the larger units with a chute. There are directional adjustment available to an approx 30 degrees to the left and right, however, they are not more than 50 percent effective. A fair amount of snow still blows forward even when you direct them to the side. After the job is done just left it in the garage for it to release all the accumulated ice/snow on it which wasn't much and next day it was as good as new. Here is the pros and cons I was able to identify: Pro: - Very strong motor: This thing spins like crazy at a very hight speed and throws the snow really far away. Pro: - Light weight: For a snow throwing device that has so much power the weight of the unit is very reasonable however I wouldn't want to hold it in the air to surface cut something like a 12" snow but very manageable to move between surfaces and positions. The two supporting wheels are absolutely a great help where it makes the unit super light weight to push. Pro: Affordable replacement parts: American lawnmover company have a website with available replacement parts with everything at a fix price of $13.09 regardless of you need the auger, belt or scraper. This means the likely eventuality of destoying your auger will not cost you more than $22 including the shipping assuming you can handle the replacement yourself. Pro: - Price: mid 80s price tag is surprisingly attractive. Con: Plastic auger: Due to brittle looking and feeling rigid plastic nature of the auger you will very likely destroy it sooner rather than later if you encounter a store, thicker branch, frozen newspaper etc. Con: Parts price in comparison to whole unit. So, assume you go lucky and used it for a few years without problems and decided to replace the auger, scraper and belts. It will cost you close to $50 with shipping. more than half of the total price of the unit. The whole unit costs 80some. So, is it even worth to replace parts or just trash it and get a new unit. I will update my experience if and when I encounter deeper snow and possible stray stone, rock, branch encounter and the associated damage.. Currently it is a keeper in my book!

Great for Decks and Sidewalks
This was an easy-to-assemble, powerful little snow thrower! I used it this past winter for my decks and sidewalks. There are times that I don't want to get the walk-behind snowblower out. This is directional, so you have the option to throw snow from about 45 degrees left to 45 degrees right. It made it through the winter with flying colors. You will want to be careful around the kids, pets, etc.; the whirling plastic blades are like a woodchipper out front, so be careful with deck posts. I bought one with a cord, so I wouldn't have to worry about batteries running down. This is worth the money, in my opinion.

Will move snow
I bought this over a battery powered one just so i have unlimited use time. So i have to deal with the cord but thats ok. It received #1 rating on a web site for power shovels which was another reason for my choice. I have only used it once since being the end of winter when i ordered it. I tried it out on a large drift that was packed and hard. It cut through it nicely but had to go slow because it was packed and frozen so hard. So it should work pretty well on fresh unpacked snow

Good enough to do the job
Intructions are not well define and some of the screws weren't quite a match to the actual visual that were shown on the manual. The machine is good enough to do the job but I realized that it may be better on a straight away rather than to little bit of curb here and there. IOW Good for long driveways and if you have a very long extention cord its pretty good as what you can expect. The longer the better.

I like it!
I’ve used this twice now on about 2-3 inches of snow. It worked very well and definitely was easier on my back than shoveling. It does take a minute to get the hang of it and it is a bit cumbersome to maneuver. I had to switch out gloves to ones with more grip so I could hold the lever more easily. The snow blows fast and aggressively and you definitely need to figure out which direction you want it to blow. I watched a YouTube video to assemble it and that made it very slick. It’s a nice little machine. It works as well as a snow blower, just a little more cumbersome to use. I would overall recommend it! Update to add: this machine works great on a heavy snowfall. I’ve now used it on 4-6 inches no problem. The cord is a pain and you do need gloves with grip for the handle but other than that this thing is a beast!

They price was great,I'm glad I got it when I did,the next day it went up 60 bucks.i have used it 3 times so far.Today I used it to remove all most 7 inches of dry snow.Worked well,I'm impressed with this small lightweight blower.Time will tell how durable.

Excellent helper attracts neighbour's interests immediately
1. Dumb as me spent 45 mins to assemble this unit with help of a Youtube installation video made by some gentleman. 2. Dec. 8 night we had another 4"-5"snow in Toronto area. On a 2-door garage driveway, I used to spend an hour to plow manually, but this morning it only took me 20 mins. No sweat! 3. Two neighbours next door both have monster gas snow blower showed high interests in my power shovel. One neighbour's monster blower is so heavy that she's left it outdoor for 2 yrs without using it. 4. You have to press the trigger and the button on the handle side at the same time during operation while pushing forward the shovel against the ground and paying some attention to the power cord, which is not the easiest thing to do. However, comparing to manual plowing, this is heaven. 5. Photos shown above are taken right after operation. 99% satisfied.

Impressive!
The media could not be loaded. The first snowfall with really heavy wet snow and this machine was great. The power and force it throws the snow was not expected, but pleasantly surprised. As all the parts are plastic, we are bringing it in the house to thaw any ice left in it, just to be safe.

Fast delivery, but received a used product
I love that it came within reasonable time, considering it came from the US. But very dissatisfied that I was sent a used item as you can see from the pictures. The wire mesh covering damaged, scratches on the auger.... wonder the reason why it was returned in the first place before..... hope it works fine, otherwise will return. Will update review after I get the chance to use it a few times

Better than a goon spoon but not a touchdown either
I’ve got a big driveway, half of it paved, half gravel and I’m on the North coast so lots of heavy wet snow. A torture test if there ever was one. 5 stars and I’d recommend it IF you have a 100% paved, flat drive or walkway that you can get to before the snow compacts or gets too deep. Wet snow, compacted after a day of work left a bit to be desired…the rocks kick the living $#&@ out of the auger and cutting edge too… Still it helped and I haven’t stroked out yet so it helped…still needed the shovel though.
