Great little dethatcher

I had big brown patches and a thick thatch layer. I assumed that that point I had brown fungus or whatever it's called. I tried a fungicide, didn't work well probably because the thatch was so thick used this to remove the thatch. It took a few hours for my small lawn but it did a good job and was much better than raking. The bag is tiny so it fills up fast I had to dump it every 6 feet or so. I'd imagine you could just use a lawn mower to collect the clipping in a bigger bag to speed this up. The height adjustment on the front end is not very sturdy so if you bump it it will move tp the lowest level. I didn't notice that until I had already went about 10 feet but it all worked out because the layer was so thick I ended up keeping it on that setting.

Good quality mower

7 blade reel mower, easy to assemble. No tools required. Fairly easy to push. Light weight. If you have a well established lawn it cuts well. If you have dandelions and clover... you really need a power mower. This doesn't cut dandelion stalks.

Sturdy

New to the Reel Mowing world I took a chance on this mower. It's sturdy, a little harder to push than expected but it works well. Great bang for your buck. Easily cleans up with a simple spray from the hose.

Reeeeely good mower for small lawns

I waited an entire season to review this reel mower. I used to mow grass for a living and I have cut a lot, A LOT of grass. But, I had never touched a reel mower. I have run some really nice mowers. Deere, Scag, Toro, all rotary mowers, but high end commercial equipment. My house has a small yard maybe 2000sqft. I saw some guys on the YouTube using reel mowers and I thought for the price of a manual push reel, why not give it a try? My yard is Bermuda grass that I would cut at 2” in the spring and 2.5” in the dead of summer 100degrees. So I chose the seven blade. Less dense turfs would need a 5 blade. First off, this mower is really light. Too light. I ended up pulling the rollers, filling with fine sand and sealing the ends. All in an attempt To keep the mower from bouncing around. I am contemplating steel rollers for next year. The mower came out of the box adjusted properly. I checked it but it was spot on even contact all the way across the knife. The other adjust Kent I made was to straighten the handle bars. They came at a weird inward angle that was just not comfortable. Put a pipe on the end of the bars and bent theM flat to 90. The other thing that needs to be done each time is just a little oil or grease across the knife edge. It quiets the operation. Using the reel mower has some reel advantages. (Sorry, has to do it.). The first, is that it is super light. My toro 21” commercial is self propelled but At 110 lbs, turning it around is a workout. This reel is nothing to push. Even in my really dense, healthy bermuda it is a dream to push. Second, there isn’t a bunch of dirt and glass flying around. Something to appreciate in the dry days of summer where a rotary mower creates a dust plume. Third, no gassing up, forgetting to buy gas and having to run and get it before you mow. Just grab the reel, shot some oil on it and mow. No pulling the cord, no adjust carbs, spark plugs filters....oil it and mow. Now, on to the cut. This is where the reel shines. A rotary mower spinning at 30000rpm, no matter how sharp, beats the lives ng heck out of grass. A real mower makes one nice scissor like snip and moves on. The greatest surprise of switches ng yo a reel mower has been the health of my turf. It is night and day. I kept the exact same feeding and weed prevention and my lawn went from a patchy weedy struggle to keep to looking like a fairway in one season. I dropped the height from 2-2 1/2 down to 1- 1-1/2” even in the dead of summer. I was blown away. The grass is just flat out healthier, stronger and able to choke out the weeds. A little push reel like this is big for everyone. But anyone who wants a to cut maintenance and improve the health of their lawn, switch to a reel mower. I can think of several improvements that would make this particular mower much better, but for the money, it’s a good little reel. Happy mowing!

Not the best for thick grass

I can see this being a pretty good mower ONLY if you have short grass that isn't too thick. Parts of my yard are much thicker and this mower was very hard to maneuver in the more dense grass. I had to go over these areas several times at different angles and the reel would flip backwards on me as I pulled it back each time. Even in the less dense areas where the grass was shorter, the mower did NOT cut evenly, as described. I only have .3 acres, most of which is heavily landscaped, so there isn't much grass to cut. I never made it to the front yard, only the back, before deciding this mower isn't gonna make the cut (pun intended).

Good looking but broken

I think this would have been a great push mower if it wasn't defective coming out of the box. It was easy to assemble but the wheel axle plate wasn't flush with the wheel and so it wouldn't turn the blades. Tried contacting customer service through Amazon and it's a different company. Contacted customer service on the paperwork and it sounded like something was already broken. No problems returning item and ups picked up at my door.

Das beste für den Rasen mit deutlichen Schwächen

Der Mäher soll sehr leise sein, dann würde ich gern mal einen lauten hören :-) Ich empfinde das nicht als leise und an einem Sonntag würde es von meinen Nachbarn ordentlich was zu hören geben... Das Schnittbild ist sehr gut und seinem Namen gerecht. Hier kann ich nur positives Feedback geben. Der Korb ist ein einziger Witz. Wer Problemflächen mit z.B. Poa Annua hat, wird mit diesem Mäher sie auch weiterhin haben, da nahezu nichts aufgefangen wird. Der Korb ist nicht nur mehr Schein als Sein, sondern zu 95% nur Schein! Es gibt Videos bei YT die das schon sehr gut zeigen. Die Höheneinstellung ist nicht die einfachste, aber in der Regel stellt man seine Höhe nicht 2x / Woche neu ein. Die Kunststoffwalze hat schon nach dem ersten mal deutliche Abnutzungsspuren. Der Griff wirkt sehr wertig und in der dunklen Lackierung auch sehr schick. Ich habe den Artikel nicht behalten und hoffe auf ein baldigen Nachfolgeartikel - für mich überwiegen die Nachteile.

Lieferung Top! Zusammenbauen in ca 20min erledigt, sehr einfach.... Top..... Übersetzung beim Schieben Top, man merkt ihn kaum....sehr Leichtgang..... Fangkorb im Lieferumfang enthalten.... Top, aber ich brauche ihn nicht..... Lediglich die Schnitthöhe einstellen ist ein wenig umständlich, aber auch durchaus machbar..... Alles in allem ein Top Gerät deren Preis unschlagbar ist.....klare Kaufempfehlung! Ich werde mir definitiv noch einen zweiten bestellen, wer weiß wie lange der Preis von 169 Euro noch am Start ist ????

Das schnittbild ist super Der fangkorb taugt leider garnichts Länge Halme werden nicht immer mit abgeschnitten, sodass man mehrere Male über die selbe Stelle fahren muss
