Review from a complete noob
I'd been wanting an RC glider for years, but never got to the point of justifying the expense (to myself). This model for less than a C-note, plus a Specktrum DXS transmitter, batteries, a charger, a strap for the transmitter...all in for less than two-fifty. (My wife gave me an Amazon gift card that covered over half of it!) I was in business. Everything went together nicely out of the box...except the 1S batteries were light on velcro and I couldn't get the transmitter to bind to the plane. A trip to a craft store solved the velcro problem. A Youtube video solved the binding problem. (1. power to plane, 2. transmitter on with bind button pressed, 3. power to plane off, 4. transmitter off, 5. transmitter on, 6. plane on...voila!). Always turn on the transmitter before applying power to the plane! First flight: I went to a park down the street, tossed some grass in the air (very light breeze), and launched the plane into the wind. I was able to fly the plane to altitude, turn off power to the prop and let it glide down to a landing within a few feet of myself. I even caught a few small thermals. On grass, it made a gentle landing. I did that a few more times until the battery was depleted (according to the gauge on the transmitter). I was very happy! Second flight: My wife went with me to the park to take pictures. I had a similar experience to the first flight...but a couple of launches in I ended up flying into a tree! That required a trip back home to get a 12' pole with a pool net attached to push it out of the tree. A couple of launches later, my wife suggested I fly the plane away from a small group of spectators with a dog that was frantically barking at my plane. In the process of doing that, I got the plane up above the tree line (having learned that tree's are bad), and a stronger wind caught it. The plane began drifting away from the park, I couldn't bring it down (I think I was making it go higher instead of lower). I lost sight of the plane for a second (behind those darned tree's!) and it was gone. :( That was when I told my wife that "I meant to put my name and phone number on it." That was when she realized (again) that she had married an idiot. But...I liked the who experience so much that I'm buying a replacement Radian UMX. A few months down the road I'm already looking at the Conscendo model!

Very fun in low wind, scary in even medium wind
First, as fragile as this plane is, I'm not sure it's worth $99. The radio and controller inside can only be used with this airframe, so if you wreck it and they stop making parts, you'll just have to throw it all away. That said, parts are still available. The aircraft is very very light and flying without SAFE can be scary if there's even a little wind. Also, the controls are a little loosy goosy because it's so light and the control rods are so long and thin. MAKE SURE your control surfaces are centered when you launch. I know this should be common sense, but just because they were centered on your last launch doesn't mean they still are. Even the heavy grass blade will dent the leading edge of the wings. This thing will NOT take a beating. I'm here to tell you, the thing is very fragile. All this said, it's still very fun. I fly it using a Radiomaster TX16S transmitter and it works fine.

I love this tiny glider and I really never like tiny airplanes.
I ordered this only because I wanted something really small to take on vacation. I've never been impressed before with UMX or other tiny rc planes but this one is a blast and flies really well. I'm amazed at 10-15 min flights on such a tiny battery and the 50 gram model somehow handles a breeze without any problem. I'm going to wear it out and buy another.

Great little plane
Stop thinking about it just buy it. Great little plane. If you are new to RC find a flying field tell somebody you need help setting up a new plane. After a few tips and a test flight or two, you might need to pry the transmitter out of their hands. With a little coaching you're on the way. Still a fun little plane to fly if you're an old hand. Have Fun

Flies like a dream and has safe mode.
Nest little RC glider you can get for your money! I have flown many other planes, bigger ones, faster ones... but this one is still my favorite!

Great little glider.
Great little glider but I would get help in setting it up from an experienced flier. Out of the box the elevator and rudder needed adjustments. I had to add 10 grams of weight to the nose to achieve the recommended cg. I recommend this glider but I wouldn't take it out of the box and toss the airplane in the air without checking it over first.
