Worked out great. I had also ordered the prop shaft for the E-Flite P-51 1.2mm which is a little longer than the one that came with the motor, but I think it was long enough.

No Motor Mount

I returned the motor as soon as it arrived since there was no motor mount. Amazon accepted the return without any issues.

I read comments about this motor being a dog on 3S batteries. Meh... maybe against a stiff wind on a heavy plane, but otherwise very average for the range on 3S. Using 4S, with a 11x8 this little unassuming motor steps up quite well! Another quality motor from HH. Seriously, put on the safety glasses. If only it had a decent (longer/ or smooth 5mm for collet) prop adapter. The torque on 4S is well suited for the Apprentice if you're ok with a Hinkey prop setup. Maybe there's a better adapter out there but I can't find it.

Dead on arrival. And can’t return it now since the wires were 9” too short compared to the stock motor for the eflite p39 so I already extended them, even though this item is listed as a “replacement part” for the eflite p39....

Doesn't come with mount, washer and nut

I didn't try the motor as most eflite stuff (motors) are decent. However, without a motor mount and washer/nut for prop, I had no option to try without purchasing hardware from local hobby shop; which defeats the purpose of online shopping.
