Does not fit the Dremel Flex Shaft Attachment

Unfortunately I assumed it would fit the Dremel Flexible Shaft accessory. Which it does not. It would be appreciated if the seller indicated this. However, I look forward to using it on the actual Dremel tool. If Dremel either made the same product to fit the Dremel Flexible Shaft accessory, or some type of adaptor I think it would be appreciated by many potential buyers.

Should come with the tool

This piece is indispensable to protect you from flying particles of hot metal or ceramic dust. Even if you wear safety glasses and nose/mouth mask.

Great Product!

I installed this on a 395 and it does what it is supposed to do. It blocks the metal filings that always were directed toward the user.

I can’t see what I am doing when I attach this even though it is translucent.

I tried to use it but I can’t see what I am doing so I had to take it off. Instead I bought a face shield gas/chemical mask to use. It has a clear face shield and also has a heavy duty filter for particles and gases. This mask protects my eye, nose, throat and lungs while using the Dremel and I can see everything.

Safey Feature

Should be supplied as standard

I use my Dremel mainly for grinding and cutting, and these generates sparks. This shield enables me to see the work, but prevents sparks flying into my eyes. For this reason, I think it should be supplied with all Dremels for safety. So far it has worked very well, but I do not know how long it will be before the shield becomes scuffed or discoloured and needs to be replaced. The shield comes with a grinding wheel and cutting wheel, which is a nice touch.

Surprisingly effective in containing sparks

Though I nitially put off by the relatively high price I elected to make this purchase and I was pleasantly surprised by just how effective the Dremel Shield’s was in containing wayward sparks. This should ( for safety reasons alone) be included with all Dremel Rotary Tools!

Essential and I should have got one years ago

This is more useful than I first thought and now that I've used it for a few months I think it should come as standard to protect your eyes and other body parts from small high speed dust and debris.
