Awesome
My dremel stopped working my husband suggested it was likely the motor bushings and he was right purrs like a kitten again.. I'm going to order more to have them just in case. I didn't know you had to change them out every so often..

Easy to replace. If you actually call the Dremel company (or Bosch Tools) they usually will send few small parts as you need, at no charge.

Got my Dremel Tool running again!
My Dremel Tool was barely spinning, so I pulled the brushes and found they needed replacing. Bought and installed these and the tools was running like new. The removal of the old brushes and installation of new brushes is probably a 2-3 minute job. Super easy!

Good value
Not the sellers fault but these did not fit my dremel that was about 35 years old. If you have a very old dremel your probably better off just buying I new one like I did.

Perfect for Dremel 3000, but didn't fix my issue
Just to confirm these are the correct brushes for the Dremel 3000, and fit perfectly. However, replacing these did not fix my issue (motor would come on sometimes when shaking the unit). Cleaning up the area on the motor where the brushes touch did not fix the issue either. The issue turned out to be that the four pins that come out of the other motor housing (not sure of the name, it plugs into the switch assembly) were not making good contact. I figured this out by wiggling the placement of the switch and this housing and was able to determine it would work sometimes. To make a fix, I cut away the plastic, exposing the metal clips underneath. I then trimmed down the pins on the switch a bit, and when putting it back together I soldered all four pins to their clips. The result is that the switch assembly and outer motor housing are one unit now, so I don't have to worry about it coming apart. It isn't pretty, but it sure beats a non-working dremel. I should also mention that I had to manually splice one of the copper wire ends to the clip with some 28 gauge stranded wire; not sure if it was lose from the beginning, or if it was because I messed it up when cutting away the plastic to expose the clips. There is plenty of room though so I just pre-tinned my wire, held it up to the copper end and soldered it, then wrapped it around and soldered it to where I had previously soldered the switch pin. To test that everything is going to work before re-assembling, you can use a multimeter on ohms to ensure that you are getting about 8ohms across the two pairs of farther apart pins.

This fixed my old Dremel
My old Dremel stopped working and I watched a YouTube video which showed replacing the motor`s brushes. Purchasing these brushes was an inexpensive attempt to fix the tool and the process to replace the brushes is not technical. This tool has a new life.

Order xtra incase
My dremel would work only while shaking it. I’ll definitely order an xtra set of them. You don’t wanna be in the middle of a job and the dremel stops working. Also I noticed the dremel motor getting hot before the brushes went. Maybe that’s a sign their getting bad without checking them. Worked great, model 395 type 5 dremel, very old version.
