I have a tibia stress fracture. okay but not great
The boot is the only one I found tall enough for my tibia(shin bone) stress fracture(midway from ankle about 3.5" up. for the price(and you do get what you pay for) it is at least keeping the inflammation down. Stress fractures(unlike shin splints) are very hard to heal(even at the larger bones) they take(according to some advisers) 6-8 weeks to heal and must be kept in a boot or some kind of support. I haven't seen a doctor about it yet and was trying to heal it on my own. the boot does not have air support(as in pics I sent) and my calves are large for a man, even of my size of 6'1" and I also have to compromise the fitting so I will not cut off circulation to my leg and foot. that means not putting the straps on as tight as the (might) should be and a bit of swaying inside the boot when I walk. Insoles are mounted to the bottom by two studs. that is, the boot is not solid fiberglass on the outside just foam and two crummy little studs made of aluminum(I assume). I use a cane or crutches and I've noticed no pain except when I occasionally walk without it. the first week I noticed a pain that felt like a terrible bruise after working, as in yard work, I ignored it the first week then searched for info as to why it occurred and only was painful after work, not before and only in a small area(it felt as if a ball-peen hammer hit it but did not) so I got this but it was after ignoring it as a bruise the first week(no fault of my own, just assumed it was a bruise) but no bruising! The brace has been on for about 3 and a half weeks now and seems to negate the pain when I wear it on occasion I take it off and walk for a bit without(only across the hall) and find the sharp pain still returns as before in about 15 minutes of use without the boot. so I am going to guess no healing(or very little) has occurred and I might have re-injured it wearing the boot and walking without knowing it. the boot does not support as good as it should because I can't strap it tight and it doesn't fit down below my calf in the ankle area because my calf muscle is so large. what am I supposed to do, cut off circulation and get a clot? I DON'T THINK SO! so I have to compromise for a snug but not tight fit. this boot is okay for sprains or for shin splint I have not found much of anything effective and tall enough with PROPER support as in not swaying at the ankle because it doesn't conform. that is of a reasonable price. so I'll go ahead and hope for the best and make my doctor's appointment and see what he says. I don't trust this so much for tibia stress fractures. I don't know really if anything is made for them. most "boots" say "fracture walking boot" that is a trick to lure people in for a cash grab! This bass has swallowed far too many hooks to be fooled again! Most stress fractures require a prescription and that is expensive. My insurance probably doesn't cover it though. no brace coverage. probably works on ankles and sprains and shin splints, not on stress fractures because of the massive swaying human beings walk with or without a cane , a race in which I am a member and one should consider the differing variations of leg/ankle proportions when designing a boot as this .

Exactly As Needed
I recently suffered an achilles tendon injury and my doctor put me in a boot for 6 weeks. I also have to wear the boot at night. It grossed me out to wear the same boot in bed that I wore during the day so I ordered this one off Amazon. It is exactly like the one my ortho doctor put me in at a fraction of what I was charged in the office. Now I can change out at night and not have to worry about the gross stuff on the bottom.

PERFECT!!!!
I absolutely love everything about this medical boot. The cushions inside provide excellent comfort. It is awsome. If you need a walking boot, please consider this one. Thanks to Amazon and DonJoy!!!!

Works for its intended purpose
The boot works well for its intended purpose, but the straps are a bit cumbersome, as the top three straps are completely removable and they seem a bit long. Whenever I unwrap them to get my foot out of the brace, I end up getting the straps velcroed to one another. Also, the metal rods that hold the leg in place are glued on at the top and bolted in at the bottom. After I wore the brace for a few days, the braces started to come unglued at the top. It’s not really a problem because the Velcro straps hold them in place. It just shows poor quality control.

Fractured foot
I was told it would come with an air pump but it never did there were no air bladders. The boot itself was good to go until about a few weeks into it it started to hurt my foot I needed an insole. All in all it was a good Boot and I would use it again I just prefer to get what I was told I was going to get but the air bladders.

Better than one from doctor
I wish I had this boot from day one. I have had a complicated recovery from a fractured ankle and have been wearing the one I got from my orthopedic surgeon. It was looking pretty beat up and the velcro straps no longer stuck. I shopped around online for a replacement and the reviews for this one sounded good enough to warrant a try. It is very comfortable and very supportive. It is well made and the air support helps to assure a good fit. I am very pleased. It is also quite a bit cheaper than what the doctor charges.

no help at all!
it's not adjustable, you cannot move those pins, the model that i had seen had the adjustable sides, this is my 4th walking brace, this one, does not adjust for any angle. This is kind of very sad to say, I waited long enough, paid the exchange, all sorts of taxes and now, that the pin is cut, to adjust my length of leg, I can't walk with it, cause the step/the foot/ankle part, does not adjust...I had never seen one like this people, you will brake bones with this, don't buy it!!!
