don't expect it to last a long time
The quality appears to be the same as similar products advertised on Amazon. The place where the hook attaches to the stick is weak and breaks off after a year or so.

Has been useful to pick up my grabber...
I fugured this might come in handy post hip-replacement, and it has, though mostly for a use other than intended. Putting on pants or shorts can be a real challenge, especially for the first month afterward. Mostly, I use my grabber to hold the leg open, and have used the dressing stick to prop open the other side. Honestly, the most important use I've had for this puppy is to pick up my grabber with the hook end when I occasionally drop that. Trivial, perhaps, to those without restrictions on bending and squatting, but without this, it would have taken 3 additional iterations of clever monkey to figure out other ways to pick the darn thing up. So, overall, I'm glad to have my dressing aid stick.

Awkward at times
I bought this, in advance of shoulder surgery, to assist with dressing. It was easier to use a long heavy knitting needle. Never found a good use for it.

WONDERFUL Tool!!!
I am overjoyed that someone had this concept! This little tool has granted me such a sense of independence, because I no longer have to ask others to help me to reach clothes (I'm also short) in my closet, or help me to put my sweater etc on! GET this for anyone you know who struggles to easily hang clothing or get them down from a closet, or to put on their own button down garments!

OK dressing stick
This dressing stick is a good length, but the plastic hooks bend fairly easily, which makes it hard to keep a grasp on the clothing one is trying to pull up, especially if the clothing is heavy, eg, sweat pants. Each time I use it, I am concerned that the hooks will snap, though they are somewhat flexible, so might not. I have stopped using this and instead am using a heavy duty reacher, which is working better for me. This might work very well for pulling up light and loose fitting clothing, but it is winter and very cold, so I have not had occasion to try this. I would recommend using a reacher instead for heavier clothing.

Dressing stick
The wooden dowel is lighter than my older stick and the screw in hook comes loose easily. However very useful for picking objects from the floor.

Decent quality
The wood needs to be smoothed (fine-grain sanded) and polished (with wax) and the "cup holder" hook on one end isn't nearly as helpful as it could be (the opening is too small), but otherwise it's a decent "dressing stick".

a neat aid to help with limited mobility
I ordered this aid after being suggested by Family Nursing to help my Mum who has extremely limited arm mobility due to shoulder pain. She uses it as a dressing aid to assist with pull up strapsand is great for unhooking her Velcro fasteners on her shoes which saves her bending. A very useful gadget

Exactly as advertised
While I waiting for hip surgery, this dressing stick is handy for pulling up zippers on my boots (I also purchased zip pulls that make bigger loops for grabbing with the zipper pull.) I have also used the other side for pulling off my sock on my stiff leg and for putting on my slipper (though a shoe horn works better for this.)

Works great and best price
I got this dressing stick based on the reviews and also when comparing to plastic ones offered this one had the best price. I works great as I mostly use it to push down my pants to undress. I 've got a broken right arm so using my left I am pushing quite hard on the stick and it does not bend and of course has not broken. The hook and metal part on one end are both covered with plastic which greatly helps to ensure I don't injure myself further. I've also used it to pick up clothing that has fallen on the floor. There's a small brass hook at the other end which helps to hold onto clothing as well. I'm really happy with this aid and highly recommend it if you've become disabled.

Good for my uses, but still room for improvement
I use this as a reaching aid in the kitchen and at the front entrance. I don't use it as a dressing aid at all. I use a wheelchair, and need some assistance in reaching things that require pushing, pulling or lifting. This works for some of my pushing and pulling needs. In the kitchen it is excellent for turning on and off the burners on my stove. They are at the back of the stove, and have to be pushed in and turned at the same time. This tool lets me do that from my chair without getting too close to the burners themselves. The hooked end on the reacher is somewhat flexible, so I bent it to fit my stove controls perfectly. This is much better than any other aid I have tried for this purpose. Also, the wood body means that if it touches a hot pot in turning off the burner, it won't melt to the side of the pot. I use this at the front door in order to reach the various doors and gates that I have to open or close to get in and out of the house. The hooked end allows me to pull the lift gate toward me, while maintaining enough space to open it without hitting my chair. It also allows me to reach the inside door of my house to pull it closed in order to lock it, without my having to get up over the threshold, and in the way of the door swing, to reach the knob to pull the door closed. Previously I had been reaching between the door and the frame on the hinged side in order to get the door close enough to me so that I could reach the handle and pull it closed. This is a much better solution. Also, the small metal hook at the other end makes it very easy to hang on the wall where you need it. I have two of these. One lives at the front door and the other in the kitchen. Cons: 1. The pulling/pushing end of the aid is metal covered with plastic. The plastic is not the best in the kitchen, although because it is only on the end, I can work around it. Unfortunately it means that I need a different aid for the oven. 2. The ends are simply screwed into the dowel with small threaded ends. This means that they will screw themselves out on occasion. While this is easily remedied by checking and threading them back in, if missed, the end could fall off. Another solution would be to thread them in with some glue, so that they don't fall out. 3. The dowel and the threaded ends are quite susceptible to breaking because they are not overly strong. As long as you are using this for 'light' duty, this shouldn't be too much of an issue; but, if you are needing to move something a bit heavier, be prepared to have to replace it when it breaks. Overall, for my purposes this aid works well. If it was a bit stronger, and if the end was covered in silicone rather than plastic, I would have given it 5 stars.
