Hard to find and just what we needed

We wanted to replace the inflatable tires on our hand truck with solid ones and the hubcaps for it were one-shot hammer on ones. So we needed something else to hammer on after we replaced the tires. Enter these fasteners! They hold on the wheels by gripping the axle. I would actually use this kind of hardware more places, now that I know about it - If you want something to spin on a dowel or small pipe, this lets it happen and holds it on there.

Milwaukee dolley push nut fits 5/8 shaft

This fits Milwaukee dolley perfect fit. If your like me i was wondering if it would fit my Milwaukee dolley it does. I tried one of them dorman assorted packs at oriellys non of them fit. Finding a push nut for a the Milwaukee dolley was a nightmare. I went to lowes where I bought the dolley no luck. I tried walmart , atwoods. Listen you will need a replacement just use a pry bar yank it off but order a push nut from these dealers they work.

Just a hair smaller than 5/8. I had to widen ID

These are great if you dremel a small amount of material from the inside. I tried to get the first one on with brute force and it bent. The second one I used a dremel to make the inside diameter bigger and it worked REALLY well. I only took off a small amount of material and it went on perfecty. Ill never be able to remove that first one. I hit it with a sledge hammer and nothing. But atleast it wont come off.

Keeps the wheels on the handtruck.

I can't explain to you why these axle nuts aren't just sold in a bin at your local hardware store, but I can tell you that if you mangle one while changing a wheel on your handtruck with a 5/8 axle that these suckers will pop right on there like champs. I do also suggest that you have a short length of iron/galvinized pipe and a hammer to tap it on so that it just slides on really smooth. These things were affordable and were exactly what I was looking for.

Cheap Essential for Wheel Change

Got these when I changed my wheelbarrow wheel. Pretty much destroys old washer when you pry it off.

Pushnut Washers 5/8 inch

I keep ordering these pushnut washers for our hand trucks. Getting the old washers off is a chore but once removed the new ones go on easily. Ordering and product fits our needs perfectly for a 5/8 inch axle.

Went to several hard ware stores plus Home Depot and non had the size I needed. Reasonable price for a hard to find item. Now have several left over from my one project that probably will last a life time.
