Fits our needs.

As the title states, this fit our need perfectly. It is being used on our master bedroom door for the sole purpose of keeping house guests out of our room. I believe Schlage makes good-quality lock sets at a reasonable price. It installed easily and works perfectly as expected. All this makes for an easy recommendation of this product.

Fantastic Replacement Knob

Bought this to replace our lock button (non-keyed) master bedroom door knob. Received within 2 days. Needed one that was lockable with a key. Extremely easy to install. Took 15min. Fit in the existing door knob hole, no adjustments needed. The dead latch lined up in the existing hole perfectly. We were able to reuse the existing latch plate and strike plate already installed on the door and jamb. There are new plates in the box if needed. Comes with two keys. If your need more keys just bring a key to your local hardware store to make a copy. The bronze finish is an exact match to what we have on all other doors. It’s the current bronze color you can find anywhere. The knob is heavy and you can tell it’s manufactured well. Schlage is one of the best and very well-known hardware manufacturers. Cannot go wrong with this product and brand.

Beaware: Keyed alike

I tried to purchase two locks keyed differently. I initially ordered a two pack and quickly realized that the two packs are keyed alike. I cancelled that order and order two of this product. My visit to local store made me realize that manufacturers produce locks in batches and every batch contains the same key. I tried to cancel this order but Amazon was fast and it was shipped. I did not reject the package as Amazon suggested. I decided to check and if they are keyed alike, I should return one unit and keep one. Amazon was again fast to ship a replacement neglecting my request of a different key. I sent the replacement back and asked for a replacement with a different key. Amazon refunded me without explanation. My understanding then is that all locks from Amazon have the same key! This fact does not bother me much except that I have to look for another lock. For those of you who buy this for entry doors, please be warned: anyone who buy the same lock share the same key with you! You probably need to rekey your lock. Amazon sells to users all over U.S. So I would not consider that as a particular high risk as I would for a local store. But it's awfully annoying that you know other people have keys to your locks. The lock manufacturers and sellers are really bad not revealing this fact up front. It would not add much cost to manufacturers to key randomly for their locks selling to consumers. It's awfully bad practice. Amazon's service is good at replacement and returns, but it's not meeting my expectations. When I contacted their customer service agents, I was told that they have no direct relationship with their fulfilling center. It's awfully organizational arrangement for customer service. From a different company, I would expect someone to step up and explain to me that all their locks are keyed alike (no matter how awkward this sounds) and give me suggestions for the other lock. Just buying another brand lock will solve my problem. Amazon could keep the business!

Perfect! Replaced a cheap locksmith door knob

Four or five years ago the ancient door knob we had (had to be 20+ years old) got stuck. My mom called a locksmith who changed the door knob with a US Lock brand one. Well here we are, just a few years later and it was binding inside when you turned it one way. I didn't want it to get stuck again so I ordered this door knob on Amazon which just got delivered. Installation was a breeze, now it matches the Schlage deadbolt, and it FEELS BETTER. You can tell this is higher quality than the door knob it replaced. It turns easier/smoother and closes smoother. I find myself hard pressed to replace locks and knobs with anything but Schlage. Don't waste time with a locksmith who will install an overpriced piece of junk. NOTE: When I ordered this knob, it said the inside is always unlocked (some kind of panic feature) - however, the one I received does not turn when it's locked. I don't care either way but my mom said she much prefers this one that she can tell is locked when she's going in and out doing laundry and what not. So, just a heads up.

From what I can tell the product is great, unfortunately I made the mistake of buying it before I moved and I packed it away in a box that went with the movers. This product seems great, but Affinity Van Lines is a joke. DO NOT hire Affinity Van Lines to handle your moving. You will get nickeled and domed and then you will be quoted three days for the move, which will turn into five days the day of pick up, and then the day before delivery of your stuff they will tell you that all of your furniture and belongings won't arrive for another week. Affinity Van Lines is a horrible company-- warn your friends and loved ones. But this product seemed well made and will suit my needs perfectly... If I ever get it back again

Antique Brass is perfect match for other Schlage Antique Brass

Since this is "Dexter by Schlage", and not just plain Schlage brand, I was a little concerned that this Antique Brass doorknob might not match the "BE365 CAM 609 Camelot Keypad Deadbolt, Antique Brass" that I also bought for the same door. But it is a perfect match. Maybe this was a silly worry but I thought I'd let other worriers know. It is a doorknob, has a nice feel to it, seems sturdy, works smoothly, and does what you want a doorknob to do. The antique brass finish is lovely. $24 seems like a lot to spend on a doorknob (I have no idea, but that sounds like a lot?). I ordered it anyway because I wanted one that had the same antique brass finish as the keypad deadbolt that I had my heart set on.

A Schlage for this price? How can you go wrong? Easy to instal and so far works great. It would be nice if they would include 3 keys instead of only 2 keys.

Excellent door knobs

Purchase these when we moved into a new house - old knobs barely worked. Did a lot of research on the deadbolts before looking for a matching keyed doorknob. Was very pleased with the finish of the 2 I bought. A lovely bonus was how utterly smoothly the knobs turn! It’s like butter! Love them.
