Well Constructed

The media could not be loaded. Construction is done very well. Can be used outside or inside, can be used low or high from ground, and bowl adjusts from small to large. It cleans up easily. I can’t say enough.

Exactly what I needed! Couldn't be more pleased.

Boomer is my 12-lb. Min-Pin/Chihuahua mix; 14 and counting, and has the bowed Chihuahua front legs, which were getting really bowed from eating out of a floor-level dish. I don't know why it took me so long to notice that and order an elevated food stand. I searched yesterday for over an hour for one that was just right for him: most had too small a dish; many had too large a footprint; most were way more than I wanted to pay! Finally I discovered this one, and voila! It just arrived and I tested it out with some tuna fish. Perfect height for Boomer, very sturdy, perfect dimensions, dish stays in place but is easy to remove, and so easy to swish out in the sink after each feeding. I couldn't be more pleased. One thing I have to check out, however, and that is whether the dish is microwavable--I like to heat up Boomer's refrigerated canned food for 20 seconds (he has irritable bowl syndrome and our refrigerator gets thing really cold), and it's easier if I don't have to use two dishes to accomplish that task. UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer (Dexas International, Ltd.) and got this reply: "The bowls are made of TPE and we recommend that they not be put in the microwave."

Nice elevated pet bowls but with one major disappointment.

I really do like these elevated food bowls but have one major disappointment after a few months of use. Pros: They don’t take up too much room, they are good size & height for most size dogs & cats, sturdy, colors are nice. Cons: Within 2-3 months of use the bowl used for water started mildewing inside the bowl. This bowl is rinsed out and scrubbed with soap & water regularly but there is no getting these mildew stains out or keeping more from appearing. It started as a few small spots to now (see pics) almost all the way around the bowl has mildew stains. These bowls are in the house, not outside where you might expect mildew to grow in a water bowl. It just looks nasty now. Sadly I will have to replace that bowl soon because it will only get worse. The bowl used for food is fine, no mildew at all.

Great design, but requires maintenance to keep clean and fresh

I'm revising my review based on Dexas' excellent customer service. I emailed them about problems with mildew in the bowl, and was promptly offered a replacement bowl with extensive suggestions on how to prevent the problem in my next bown (the customer service rep recommended routinely running the bowl through the dishwasher to prevent any microbial growth, which I will definitely try). While I still wish the bowl would require less maintenance (unlike stainless steel, which lasts forever), I am extremely happy that Dexas stands behind their products and offers such excellent customer service! I do love the elevated feeder and am happy that I will get to continue using it with a fresh bowl. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've used this bowl for about a year as a water bowl for my dog. We clean the bowl regularly and, despite our constant attempts to keep clean, the bowl has grown a disgusting mildew layer that won't be removed with anything. We've tried bleach, vinegar, scour pads, everything. The problem is that the rubber has little pores that allow mildew to adhere and grow. We now have to throw away the bowl and look into purchasing something else that will fit in order to use the stand. As a side note, the collapsing feature of both the bowl and stand are wonderful. The design and functionality is excellent - it just can't stand up to day-to-day use.

Large set is only 5" / 12cm high

Wish the height was listed on the description!! The set is well made set, nothing wrong with the product itself but it isn't high enough for our 10 year old boxer, who has spine problems. This set only stands 5"/12cm high and it needs to be around 11". I'd say this is a medium bowl for medium size dogs.....definitely not for large deep chested breeds.

Really good purchase

I bought this for a week 'dog holiday', and it was a great purchase. Large enough for two medium dogs to have water access overnight, easy to collapse and fold, sturdy, packs up well, doesn't slip or slide - basically ideal in every way. Highly recommended if you need a larger bowl for holidays, camping or travelling.

Larger than it looks.

Exactly what I wanted to take on holiday for my dog. Takes up very little room and can hold at least 285g of dry dog food. Bowl can go in top of dishwasher to give it a thorough clean.

Great stand and bowl also great for days out

Bought for my adult son's dog who visits twice a week fed up of giving him glass dishes off the floor has my dogs have food dishes on a stand I wanted something that was easy to put away and off floor this dish and stand everything. I wanted and can also use it for days out with my own dogs . George seems to be very happy with his new bowl and stand and so am I
