Versatile and accurate

I don’t usually write reviews, but after using this tool, I felt compelled to talk about it. This guide is very easy to attach to the standard base that comes with the Dewalt compact router. Once attached, it gives you the ability to route in straight lines on your material. Adjustments for depths are fast and you don’t lose much time. I have the router guide for a larger Bosch plunge router, but it was always hard to maneuver. This router guide makes it easy to keep it in place and make straight lines. Overall, you can’t go wrong with this tool.

Not a Dewalt product

Fits Dcw600b, but this is not a Dewalt product. There were others on here that looked the same but did not advertise the “dewalt” name for less money. This is probably the same tool but advertised, falsely, as “dewalt.” Seller used a shady practice of advertising to sell over-priced product. Beware

Keep cuts accuarate

This edge guide works great allowing you to make clean, straight, accurate cuts. It’s easy to connect/disconnect. This edge guide is a great edition to an already great trim router.

Great addition to my router

Great piece of kit fits my fixed base as well as my plunge base. Does have just a tiny bit of slop where the two pieces come together but I’ve not noticed it being an issue.

Sturdy guide, works with both Fixed base AND pluge router

I was initially unsure about buying this as some other reviewers said it was not sturdy enough. That is not the case I find, its pretty straight and stiff. Does not feel like a cheap build. I did not however measure the accuracy of the ruler. Its able to attach with both the fixed base + DNP612 Plunge Base , see pics attached. It feels pricey for something should come out of the box with the router itself.

Un accesorio indispensable!!!

No sé por qué no lo había comprado antes, bueno si, porque me parecía algo caro para dos pedazos de lámina troquelada, pero es un accesorio indispensable para el router, en realidad también por eso no lo compraba, siento que debería venir incluido con el router pero por el precio apuesto que se paga solo en un proyecto, por la cantidad de tiempo que me puede ahorrar, a pesar de ser anunciado para la base fija funciona también en la de inmersión, creo que ahora voy a comprar el accesorio para la aspiración de polvo y tendré el kit completo.

All you need if you're starting out with a router.

I have a router and have been clamping multiple rulers and straight edges to make dados. I also have the plunger and attachments but honestly THIS is all I needed to make a straight parallel groove for the back piece of my DIY cabinets. I am sure there are more precise tools for professionals but if you're starting out, THIS IS IT.

Works fine but not too sturdy

When it arrived I was not sure it it was actually made by DEWALT. It says "For use with DEWALT DWP611 and PORTER-CABLE 450 adn 451" the packaging is all black & white and the tool itself doesn't say DEWALT on it. Besides my uncertainty of who makes it it is a little bit of a wobble even when it is tightened down good. The little wobble becomes bigger when it is extended all the way (with the edge guide as far from the router as it goes). Despite my complaints it seems to be sturdy enough to guide the router for my purposes and it helps make better cuts on the edge as well as keeps a strait line in the middle of the work. It is also good for bits without a guide.
