Very well designed, high performing and durable..
It moves a lot of air. 600 CFM advertised. This is a good compromise between more powerful and expensive commercial grade fans and lower end 'designed to a price point' floor fans. The ergonomics are great. Even with gloves, the large handle is easily grabbed and once in your hand, the fan is balanced and easy to move. The fan weighs in at exactly 10 pounds according to my uncalibrated scale. No switch wobble and the flush fit and smooth movement through a 3 speed range has a confidence inspiring feel. No concern about the switch failing unlike a similar but less expensive 350 CFM floor fan I use. The power cord doesn't have an external stress relief but there's no wobble and feels tight. As secure as the connection feels and given the fat and sturdy power cord, it may be that a conventional stress relief isn't needed. There's almost certainly something behind the housing to lock the power cord firmly in place. The plastics used for the housing are semi-soft which is good for impact resistance. Another fan I use is hard plastic and probably wouldn't stand up to a drop onto a concrete or a ceramic tiled surface without taking damage. There are three bump stops which allow for a range of movement starting with parallel relative to the floor, 45 degrees upward and then 90 degrees upward and aimed directly at a ceiling. The built in stand has an 'infinite' range of movement across about 190 degrees. This allows for further and more precise aiming. This is relatively quiet for a fan of this type but far from quiet in absolute terms. No whine, buzz or rattles. Fans of this type are generally much louder than most conventional household, non-industrial fans. The upside is that fans of this type allow for precision aiming and high air flow in hard to reach places. It's relatively power efficient for a fan of this type but less so than bladed fans I have experience with. This consumes 141 watts at low, 164 at medium and 181 on high according to a kill-a-watt. By comparison, a large floor standing Vornado I use consumes 41, 46 and 69 watts at low, medium and high. I also have a commercial-grade 2000 CFM floor fan of the same design as this DeWalt. It's an excellent fan but consumes a lot of power - 347 watts at low, 364 at medium and 422 at high and is loud even at it's lowest setting. It's a tool for cleaning up after a major event or for floating a carpet, not a fan intended for regular use in a residential environment. In this respect and at an advertised 600 CFM, the DeWalt is a very good compromise. Perhaps the most important design feature is that it can be taken apart without much trouble. Cleaning fans has to be done from time to time to keep them performing well and to maximize their life cycle. DeWalt definitely took this into consideration. Two other similar floor fan/carpet dryer fans I use do not make this easy. The DeWalt will do everything you need a residential floor fan/carpet dryer to do in most circumstances. Quick drying of mopped floors, high speed dissipation of household cleaning chemical fumes, blowing out a kitchen, airing out closets, car interiors, furniture drying after a steam cleaning, modest plumbing mishaps and so on. It's also a great boot dryer. Much faster than a product I used to use that was designed specifically as a boot dryer. The possibilities are almost endless. This type of fan uses a more directed and powerful air stream than conventional bladed fans so in many cases, it will do what you want much faster and with more precision than conventional bladed fans. I've been a fan of DeWalt tools and products for years - a lot value for the money, very reliable products in my experience. The same solid design, manufacturing and quality control I've come to expect with other DeWalt products continues with this fan. Too soon to talk about long term reliability but so far, so good. If it's anything like other products from this company, it should last many years.

Perfect fan for bedroom, a little loud
Bought it for a floor fan for a bedroom. I have had other fans which don't do well or fall over easily. This this is bright yellow- easily seen. Great airflow and adjustable. Since, every thing I can get is Dewalt, it fit like a glove. Louder than a regular fan, but if you need quick, small and effective airflow, this thing rocks. (I do post negative reviews on products frequently, this isn't one of those products.)

I love the fans. Just wish the black leg that comes on it was adjustable.
I have one dislike. Wish the black bar on the bottom was adjustable so the fan could be titled any way you like

Perfect
I love this fan. Great for moving air from one side of my house which has air conditioning to an addition which has no vent. Worth every penny. Sturdy.

Good air movement. Very quiet compared to most fans on sites. The 2 outlets on a gfi is a premium gift from the construction gods. This mutha is dirt cheap under a hundy. The only thing I'd encourage Dewalt to do is put a 12ga cord on instead of 14ga. It makes a world of difference on a site.

Gran calidad, respaldada por un gran producto
The media could not be loaded.
