My workshop is finally clean
When I was looking at air filtration systems and deciding which one to buy this one popped up. At first I thought it was too small for what I needed but then realized it air flow rating was for meters, not feet, like the other systems I was looking at. After realizing, that I decided to purchase it since it fit my needs well and I trust the Dewalt brand and have many, many Dewalt power tools. Installation was easy. I found the studs in my ceiling, drill some holes, screwed in the hooks and hooked the chains and filtration system up. The system is pretty light so I was able to do everything by myself. Even though I connect all my power tools to my shop vac, fine dust still gets into the air and then hours later I see that it settles on everything in my garage. When I first installed the filtration system, I turned it on high and then used my blower to blow all the fine dust back up into the air. I then let the filtration system run for several hours. The next day when I came back into the garage I noticed that the amount of dust that settled was dramatically less than previously. I knew I wasn’t going to get everything the first time but I was impressed with how much it did get. I’ve been using this system for about a month now and turn it on anytime I am doing woodworking or other dusty work in my garage. After I’m finished I set the timer on the unit to either 2 or 4 hours and then leave. After a month, I am liking how well it does with the fine dust. I see very little of it settling on things anymore. One thing I am very happy with is how quiet the unit is, even when it is on high. I barely notice it. Most of the time, if I am working in my garage/workshop I will turn it on ‘auto’ mode which usually turns it on medium for a little while and then drops to low. At low, I can barely hear it. The remote is my only complaints. I believe it is an IR remote, not an RF remote so you need to be pointing it at the side of the unit that has the buttons and lights. Even when doing that, I find that it take many button presses and multiple angles trying to get the unit to respond before it actually does. It would have been much nicer to have an RF remote that I can turn on the unit from anyplace in my garage. Overall, I am very pleased with air filtration system. I think the price is a great price and that the unit is a workhorse and does a fine job at collecting fine particles in the air and keeping them off everything.

Perfect for my shop.
Very easy to install. When I get into my shop, I put it on auto and forget about it. Anytime I’m making dust, I hear it turn on or run faster.

It was really simple to set up and get operating.Made a difference for sure.
It was an easy set up. Very effective. Mounted it above my workbench where I sand/make knife handles. Lots of dust before greatly improved now. Thanks

Not heavy at all and quite quiet.
I like that it does the job filtering in my small ws, and is quiet. I love the fact it has a timer and a sped control for flexibility.

Well Built Dust Busting Air Purifier
The DeWALT DWXAF101 is a dual filter air purifier. It runs at 3 speeds: Low, Mid, & High, and isn’t nearly as heavy as it looks so hanging it in a workshop should be safe and easy. I ordered this for my garage work shop which includes a small CNC system that can create a lot of particulates. Pros: - Panel or Remote control operation. When using the IR remote control you will need an unobstructed line of sight to the control panel for it to reliably work - Timed operations (1H, 2H, 4H) - Auto Mode: unit will start at MID speed and adjust up/down depending on ambient dust levels. This sensor will require cleaning as needed - Noise levels are excellent at LO and MID fan speeds. I show the dB (“A” weighted) levels for the various speeds in my pictures. All measurements are from about 3 feet distance. NOTE: My dB meter only goes down to about 45dB which isn’t sensitive enough to even register the noise while in LO speed - Clear and well written instructions (so rare these days). Even the included filters are well marked as to location and orientation - Light weight, for it’s size, at around 29 LBS - Well built and, other then a couple minor issues (see Cons below) it’s another great DeWALT product - Includes chains, hooks, and carabiners for hanging Cons: - Some minor issues removing the 2 supplied air filters as both filters come pre-installed (probably to save shipping space) but are still in their respective plastic bags. This made removal a bit tricky, but not impossible. Just be careful when removing them to avoid damaging the filter pleats. - Removal and re-installation of the rear screen took more force than expected but, again, not much of an issue. Conclusion: YES, I can absolutely recommend the DeWALT DWXAF101! I like this air purifier and look forward to a cleaner and safer workshop!

Love this thing it looks great in my garage especially since I have all DeWalt tools and even I have a couple DeWalt signs on the wall and the finish is gray and seems like it will last a while and now for the important stuff. I’m so glad I finally installed any type of ventilation fan in my garage? Wow what a difference I’ve literally been contemplating in pretty much trying saying going to install one for the last two years and just have never gotten around to it because I didn’t think it was necessarily a huge needed but wow I was so wrong after the quick easy install of this witch mind you it literally comes with everything you’ll need to set it up and even better yet you got a hang it so it literally won’t take up any of your precious garage. Space , but after just working in my garage, one day with this thing going, which is extremely powerful and yet you can barely hear that it’s running I could seriously feel just a difference in my sinuses at the end of the day and I definitely notice it when I typically do my end of the day sweeping it’s almost always about the same size except for this day it was at least half is big thing is amazing and I highly recommend it
