Not 3 bits - just one.

Despite a photo of 3 drill bits and a title that clearly says bit-S with an S - this is for a single drill bit. Very misleading. If I’d have known I’d have gone with a different product.

Right tool for the right job

This bit was perfect for my 3/8" drill to make holes through walls to run electrical lines. The 1/2" hole it makes is just the right size for 12 or 14 gauge cable for household electrical work. I mounted 2 fixtures to the sides of my garage door and also ran the same line out to a lamppost in the yard. This drill bit easily cut through the brick, cinder block, plywood and sheetrock. It took less than 1 minute to drill each hole that was about 10" deep to get through all the material. After this task the bit showed no significant wear and never slowed down in cutting. The bit also did not get too hot to touch. Any smaller size bit would be too small to run the electrical cable and a shorter bit would not go deep enough to clear all the layers. I purchased this bit because an 8" bit I had was too short and was also overheating when just cutting the first hole.

Drilled 25 holes thru 5" 3500psi concrete...no prob The last one drilled the same as the first one.... Excellent!! Remember, value is performance, not price! kra/2022

Just didn't do the job

Sure thought it would work. Just trying to bore a 1/2 inch hole in my basement floor for an RF ground rod. EZPZ, right? First I tried a star-chisel, which I've used before and had very good luck. Tap-tap-tap. Bent the thing. Sent it back. Tried this bit. I'm at 4" and it just won't go any deeper. Using a good quality hammer drill, I've used the smaller blue cobalt bits before with some good effect, but this thing just will not bore any farther into the concrete. House was built in 1971, I have NO idea how thick the pour is. Local contractors tell me it shouldn't be any deeper than 4 inches - they say they've seen them as thin as 2", a good friend of mine did some serious damage to his basement slab stacking ammo boxes, but that's another story for another review sometime - what kind of gravel did they use back then anyway, diorite, granite, diamond?? No, it's not rebar I'm hitting. Dropped a magnet probe into the hole several times, it's not sticking or pulling. On to the Bosch bit at 5 times the cost? Probably. In for a penny, in for a pound. I'll save this for the day I need to drill through cinder blocks. If that doesn't work, I know an AP 308 round will. Just didn't work for me. YMMV.

Fast drilling!

With my hammer drill, it drills concrete like butter. And I thought this was going to be a hard chore, silly me.

Nice bit when used with a hammer drill. I drilled 20 holes through a 6 inch concrete slab in about an hour. I used the Tacklife PID01A Hammer drill. BTW, make sure you check the bit as soon as it arrives. The first one Amazon sent had a noticeable curve to it. It wouldn't roll on a flat countertop and it wobbled in the drill. Amazon replaced it immediately with a straight one. Thanks Amazon!

Great quality product.

I would have rated this five stars for quality versus the price, but they shipped the items in an regular enveloped. Two out of three fell out and were lost. I had to deal with Dewalt instead of Amazon to fix the problem. Instead of two days shipping, I'm going to have to wait two weeks.

Muy bien.

Es una excelente broca para concreto, en especial las brocas dewalt me gustan por encima de otras marcas, y el precio es muy accesible. Usada para un pared de ladrillo la perforó tranquilamente en segundos con un taladro adecuado, la compré para pasar cable y maravilloso. El filo durable.

Chip in bit.

Just showed up today. Had a chip out of the carbide tip of the drill. Doubt it will make too much of a difference. But still kinda sucks getting a new product that isn’t 100%.

Aun no he perforado concreto sin embargo por otras que tengo en pack DeWalt supongo que sera igual de batalla y duradera. Excelente precio en comparación con otras tiendas en Mexico.
