My husband LOVES this. He is an electrician and is outside working in cold weather for 10 hours a day and bought this and loves it. Very warm, comfy, nice looking. You would never even think anything other than just a ni e coat. I even use it sometimes to take the dog on a walk. Very nice!

Went into purchase by reading reviews

Simple and sweet. The outer shell is not like a carhart. It is not in my definition a "heavy duty" jacket. Compared to the fabric of a carhart "working man's" jacket it is not as thick and durable. As for the heating elements they work, as soon as I got the jacket I had already charged up a dewalt 4amp battery and plugged it in, I bought a medium jacket and it fits my body well, with a bigger battery it is somewhat awkward, however this jacket does have multiple battery locations to snake the adaptor cable to, nice feature. All around this jacket is 3 star nice. I bought it because to use when I plow the driveway with a utv. The heated zones do heat up nicely, however I will be using this jacket under a carhart jacket when I plow, the heated zones make better contact with my body if I use the "heavy duty" jacket as a layer rather then a main jacket. Also not splitting hairs but.... the heat zones at the arms, no.... how about a lumbar heat zone... there is no lower core heat zone only upper chest and back. All in all this is a good jacket to do fall yard work in. I will update my review when I get a chance to use the jacket as intended, plowing snow in freezing temps in a unheated utv cab.

Missing adaptor and dewalt customer service is a joke

Like others here, I too came to the review section before going through with the order. Upon reading the reviews I knew right away that this purchase could be problematic. However I mainly use dewalt products and have many extra batteries lying around should I have gone with a competitor’s heated jacket option it would have meant an additional purchase of extra batteries. So I decided to take the risk and purchase This item. Big mistake. Firstly I’ll state that I ordered the jacket on 10/14/22. It was delivered within a week, it has taken me this long to write a review because the customer service dewalt provides is a complete joke with no consideration for their customers time or needs. Upon receiving the jacket I realized that the adaptor did not come in the packaging. I thoroughly read the boxing and it clearly states the items in packaging. 1 heated jacket 1 battery and charger and 1 adaptor. I tried to go through Amazon they referred me to the seller (DeWalt) who then referred me to their website to leave my information and description and a customer service rep will email me (eventually). They did, a couple of weeks later with a very generic vague message that shows they didn’t thoroughly ready my description of the issue. I responded explaining the issue they took several days to respond. We went back and forward like that until they mailed me out an adaptor that came several weeks later. The adaptor was incorrect model number (I specifically stated my jacket model and and the adaptor model I would need in our communications). Took them a whole week to get back to me after I emailed them about the wrong adaptor being sent. I listed the adaptor model number I needed and the one I received. I was then told that DeWalt no longer makes that adaptor that they have a third party that provides those adaptors and I would have to communicate with them about receiving a replacement adaptor. I reiterated that it wasn’t a replacement because I never received the original adaptor and that the order was placed through Amazon for the dewalt store and that I didn’t think a 3rd party would honor that sale that did not include them at all. The DeWalt rep assured me they would and sent me their contact info. I tried to no avail to communicate with that company. They never once responded to any of my email. And thus I find myself here after almost 3 months and one two week cold that I will definitely attribute to my working in below freezing temperatures without the proper heating gear. To recap I’ve lost countless hours communicating with DeWalt, third party, and Amazon, I’ve gotten sick as a result of a missing item that I fully purchased that none of these major companies wanted to honor. And I lost wages due to the time off for being sick. As I write this I am on the phone with Amazon and it seems I will finally be issued a refund but that doesn’t even begin to cover or make up for the rest of it. To anyone reading this. Save yourself the trouble, the headache, the inconvenience. Shop elsewhere. And yes I could have easily bought or spliced a few cables and made my own adaptor. However, the point is I already purchased the adaptor with the heated jacket and I shouldn’t have to spend another dime. Also the batteries and jacket are only guaranteed if used with the provided and approved adaptor so that could have been a whole other issue as well.

It works well. I use it everyday!!

It’s a great tool. I use it with larger batteries, lasts longer. The arm heat is a added feature. I owned the core heat only coat before this. It’s not water proof , but it dries quick. The added warmth of this coat is worth the money.

Perfect for working outdoors!

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He works outside and has been complaining about bulky coveralls. This was perfect! He has told me all the other guys on his tree crew want one too!!!

Bought jacket stopped working, deemed defective

This is my opinion based on my experience with radians. Jacket was everything I was looking for. Heated, advertised as heavy duty. Owned and used jacket for less than 2 months before the power button stopped clicking. Contacted dewalt for warranty to repair/replace my jacket that was still well under warranty. Dewalt rep transfers me to the manufacturer(Radians). Radians warranty rep emails me a form to fill out and at cost to me ship the jacket to them with the form to inspect then if deemed defective the jacket would be repaired or they would send me a new replacement. So at cost to me I shipped this jacket and was told that jacket was indeed defective but they do not repair the jackets nor did they make enough jackets to honor replacement(not making more until October). Rep said i could choose any comparable jacket and they would send it at no cost. Radians had no stock of any "Heavy duty" except 1 3XL(I would be swimming in that) and all other heated wear offered did not have the durability and cost far less than what I paid for. I feel I am being told I was Sol and to take a lesser product as compensation. I could not accept less than what paid for and that they needed to ship my jacket back to me so I can return it to the point of purchase before it was too late. Radians agreed to send the jacket back and would send me tracking. They waited until I had 1 day to return my jacket to ship(overnight) it back to me for a return I couldn't even get a rain check for a new jacket. I feel Radians customer services were very unresponsive and they handled my issues in a way that made me feel like they do not care about the products they sell nor the consumers who purchase them. I Will never buy a product manufactured by Radians again.
