Buying the right fasteners is one of the most important thing when installing.

My front door looks wonderful and I couldn’t be happier. I bought this six years ago and was discouraged because it didn’t include fasteners so I returned it. After thinking more about it I finally ordered it again because it just looks like it belongs. With determination on installation I kept it and it was worth it. It wasn’t hard to install at all. Glad I bought it and kept it this time.

Very Cool Knocker

Excellent Green Man door knocker. Incredibly heavy. This one comes with the striker which is nice. I threaded the holes in the knocker and drilled holes thru the door and screwed black bolts into the back of the knocker instead of running screws in the front like my brother did. Made for a very nice, near invisible mounting.

Beautiful. And effective! You see, now my in-laws don't want to come visit at ALL! And, according to the housekeeper, some Jehovah's Witnesses came up to the door, looked at it, and quietly walked away without knocking. That's right, folks: it's practically paid for itself in deflected aggravation, and I've only had it up on my door a couple of weeks. Get one today and see what the Toscano Vecchio Greenman can do for YOU! P.S. You can see this exact same door knocker in the movie EYES WIDE SHUT, too. On the door of the house where the big orgy is going on. Who wouldn't want to be identified with that?

It's HUGE

My sister collects door knockers and this one looked interesting. When I received it I was surprised how big it was, but not is a bad way. it is really cool! I think she is going to love it (I do). It's kind of creepy looking, too. Again, not in a bad way. Also it does not come with the mounting hardware, which isn't as big a pain as trying to find that bottom metal button the knocker knocks against. (Seriously, if anyone knows a supplier, message me). Since my sister hangs them for display this isn't as big a deal as it would be if you had an antique or nice wood door.

Doesn’t come with mounting hardware

Was looking for an inter sting and unique knocker for our door. Purchased this knocker before realizing that it doesn’t come with mounting hardware. The actual knocker plate is ornate on both sides and matches the finish, so not having mounting hardware in the same finish seems odd as anything but a patina iron finishes hardware would ruin the look. This isn’t something your local hardware store has. Also, the product is $20 cheaper on their website. I give it 3 stars for the lack of being complete, even though after reading to the end of the description it does say it doesn’t come with hardware.

Amazing door knocker! Heavy, sturdy, amazing quality. Friendly tip to seller/s: installation screws not included. Don't be cheap, 4 screws will cost you nothing. Other than that, I will recommend this to others, easily.

The "looks" of this door knocker is very nice..

The "looks" of this door knocker is very nice... and it is large. Five stars for this... the problem lies in that this product appears to be brittle and perhaps made of pot metal. The first two of these we ordered were broken, the very thick round door knocker was broken into two pieces for the first shipment -2 stars, and the second replacement shipment the large bolt that the knocker knocks against was shattered into 4 pieces also -1 star. Packaging box (not the amazon box, but rather the box from the Chinese manufacturer was thin, punctured in many places and had awful protection. With better metal quality and better packaging, this could of been a 5 star product. I would not order again... too bad :(

Nice but made in china

At this price range it was a surprise to find the "made in china" sticker. You have to enlarge screw hole openings so the screw's heads sit flat and recessed otherwise it will look like crap. Required 2 brass screws are not included. It's really nice looking and sound like a castle door!
