Perfect Ms State fan addition to any home.
This little bulldog is perfect. He is so life like. Anyone says different dont know their bulkdogs. It was an anniversary gift for my husband who is an avid Ms. State Bulldogs fan. He loves this special gift. He will guard our patio with pride. Great value for your money. Would definately buy again as a gift for bulldog fans.

Misleading Photographs And Marginal Quality Make This Piece Not Up To Par With Design Toscano Quality
A caveat or two prior to this review. We're die hard Bull Dog fans with two Old English that are in every way the very heart of our family so naturally we collect an ever growing array of Bullie related memorabilia and artifacts. What is more, I've been a huge fan of Design Toscano for decades. Their web site have many of my reviews for so many marvelous, eclectic and odd piece that the owners travel world wide to find. Pleased to have found them selling on Amazon a few years back we've purchased many pieces and have been delighted with each one. It's a fair complaint that the nest of dog cookies Buster is sitting on isn't included and why it's not taken down and re - photographed doesn't make sense. It's natural for a consumer to expect to receive what they see being advertised unless there's at the very least a disclaimer of what may be appearing in the photographs but not included with the item. I have no doubt this unintentional but it's deceptive none the less. As for Buster he's a bit disappointing - unlike the huge "Brutus" statue which have by our fire place (a Design Toscano Exclusive) that was purchased on Amazon a year ago - Buster with his "Sand stone" style casting is disturbingly realistic yet you also know immediately there's something odd. The eyes have an opaque dead quality, the perfect bottom teeth - something I've never seen in any Bulldog are just a tiny bit unsettling. For all the great detail invested in his body there's just something amiss and a little bit creepy about the face. We have him on our sun porch and what my spouse and I found to be quality issues such as his distinct seam, especially on the paws weren't so overwhelming that we returned him. I would say if you're a bulldog lover or know someone who is this makes a fine addition despite what I consider to be both flaws and again photographs to misleading he's still a character and worth having around. Those of you who are fans of Sandcast figures know a piece this size in Sandcast would cost around $350 so the price here is certainly much more agreeable. A decent piece but at the end of the day , really not up to the quality of Toscano Design products that we've become accustom to 3 PAWS UP

Adorable.... and fun.
We have this statue sitting inside of our home, by the front door, and it freaks people out ALL the time. People don't usually see it when they come in, because our real bulldog distracts them when they walk in.... when people leave, for the 1st time, they either start to bend down to pet the statue "goodbye", or say "I didn't know you had TWO bulldogs". (We laugh when they realize it's just a statue) When this 1st arrived, we packaged it while our bulldog was in the backyard "doing his business", so he didn't see us placing it by the front door. When he came back in, he was startled by it then RAN. When he finally calmed down, he ran back over to the statue and started growling / barking at it. (we've had it or quite some time now... it only took a week or so for our bulldog to accept the statue as "part of the family".

Mom thought I kicked my dog out of the house
I have a real bulldog that has similar coloring so I bought this guy to sit and watch the front porch. My mom came over one day and freaked out as she approached the house because she thought that I kicked my dog out and the poor thing was hunkering down by the front door, apparently having shrunk from starvation (lol).... took her a couple seconds to figure it out when the "poor dog" wouldn’t blink or acknowledge her. I'm still getting packages delivered so he is obviously scaring the delivery people away. My fear is that he will get stolen, but I'll risk it.

Perfect low-maintenance pet
I was close to getting a 2nd real dog to keep the dog I have company during the day. Then I realized I don't have the time or money for a second dog right now so this was the perfect solution. As a matter of fact, when I took him out of the box he looked so real my Japanese Chin ran up to him to sniff his nose. He looks extremely realistic but was a fraction of the price of the Sandicast bulldogs. I hope this "Design Toscano" makes other breeds in the future. This dog lets me admire and collect multiple dogs without the maintenance and care of another breathing, eating (and pooping) pet. It's also great to come home after a long day of work and not have to take him for a walk...so I got my money's worth - I'll have this bulldog for a long time!

Looks like a real Bullie
Bought this for the wife as a present. We have two Old English in the house and they thought it was real. I even thought it was one of our dogs one early morning. Very life like. It has even taken a hit or two from the Bullies playing and no damage. Well built and life like. Great product.
