very nice statue
We saw one of these, and searched amazon to find it. It is exactly what we wanted to place in a memorial area.

A lovely reader to nestle among the flowers
We are a family of avid book lovers so we felt like this would be a lovely accent piece for the rose/flower beds in front of our house alongside the walk leading to our door. The height is just all enough to nestle along the base of a rose bush and makes a great addition to the walk. The appearance is cute and classy. When looking closely it is easy enough to tell that she's not actual rock but from a distance she matches nicely with some of our other stone pieces. The one downside with her being resin rather than stone is that she came with a warning/disclaimer from the manufacturer saying that she should not be left outside during seasons of extreme cold weather. Living in Utah, our winters are definitely cold and filled with snow. As such, we're going to need to remember to pack her inside when the cold snap comes while other stone statues can remain outdoors all year. Apart from that, we have no complaints and are glad to see her mingling with our flowers.

it's still very nice. I think it might be a little pricey ...
While I don't believe that I'd have been fooled into thinking this is actually a stone statue, it's still very nice. I think it might be a little pricey for the size (hence the 4 instead of 5 stars) but it's pretty and very detailed for its size. It's heavy enough that it should stay in place, but not too heavy to carry. I've looked at her and pondered her and the way she's sitting. She's wearing ballet slippers, sitting on the ground with one leg partly raised up. It doesn't look comfortable. But maybe there's a story behind it and I've been thinking about how I could place her so that the leg is resting on something in my yard. That might make it more realistic and also somewhat custom-made. But even I don't, she's pretty, in a kind of quiet way and will make a nice little picture, reading her endless book in my garden or flower bed. And she'll do the same for you; wherever you choose to place her.

Simply Beautiful
I have been reading since I was a very small child. And I have often taken vacations within the pages of a good book. I can never read enough! So when I saw this statue, I fell madly in love with it! A young girl is sitting nearly cross legged in her socks, reading a book. Another lies on her leg, with a rose atop it. She has a beatific face. And she looks simply amazing! Made of resin, the statue looks like stone. And thus, she makes a perfect addition to your summer garden or lawn. She is heavy enough that only fierce winds could topple her. Yet light enough she is easy to place, or move, anywhere. She is 19-1/2" H x 16-1/2" W x 12" deep, and weighs in at 10-pounds. She is small enough she would make a lovely addition to your library, as she sits in mine! And I love her here! I give her five stars. A big thumbs up. And my personal recommendation award.

Beautiful accent piece for your garden or patio
I wanted a special place in the backyard with a chair, some potted plants, a nice view, and this beautiful statue fit right in. It is sturdy and the right size (please note not small) to complete a space for peace and serenity adding the whimsy only a love of books could appreciate. I noted that this is not a small accent piece so understand it will fit by a table but is too large to sit on it and does have a singular color so will blend with the d�cor and flows into a patio

Lovely - but too expensive
This lovely garden statue looks great tucked away with the flowers. It is made of crushed stone and resin and looks like stone. It is not heavy as it is hollow, which makes it easy to move around - yet it is heavy enough not to be moved by wind and rain. It arrived in a large box and was well (extremely well) packed in polystyrene. The statue itself looks like it is made from stone and it sits well without rocking. At about 20" high (42cm) it is big enough to be seen from a distance and yet is not too intrusive - it goes well with the plants and flowers. It has been in situ for a couple of days now and looks like it has been there for years. I would happily give this the full 5 stars but for the price. I presume the seller will be cutting the price as at the time of writing this review, it is on sale at a little over one hundred and twenty pounds! That said, if the price is lowered I can see this doing very well as it looks so right in the garden.

Detailed and good quality.
This arrived well packaged. It's quite robust. Weighs enough that my dog can't pick it up, but is easy enough for me to re position around the garden should I want to do so. The colour and detail on the ornament is great. Because the base of the ornament is thicker than the top part its extremely sturdy. You can put it on uneven soil or stones and it's quite solid. It looks very relaxing between my roses.
