Sexy, easy to assemble, holds all our booze - what's not to love?

After marvelling over so many opulent designs in Design Toscano's catalogue my wife and I were stoked to see one we could actually afford AND would make our dreams of feeling like badasses that own a globe bar come true. Design Toscano totally delivered with a well made and attractive bar that went together super easy (and we've spent the past two weeks putting together a lot of furniture.) Brava!!

Beautiful addition and something I've always wanted. The wheels stick a little bit but nothing a little oil won't fix. Hardest part was deciding what side of the globe to have facing where and line it up. Looking forward to filing it with my favorite spirits, but can hold or serve whatever purpose your heart desires.

The bar looks great and really easy to assemble with no tools. Here are some down sides. Packaged very well for protection of product, that being said there were still several nicks and gouges that needed touching up. The bottom half of the globe wasn't high enough to fit in the grooves provided on the top shelf. I needed to added 4 washers each to the columns holding the globe half to raise high enough engage in the groves. This is significant gap. The size of the globe is pretty small. A regular size bottle of wine or decanter would fit in the center but that's it. There is no way stemmed wine glasses fit in the slots provided so the globe will close, not even one. All in all making do with these short comings as the piece is attractive. Found another purpose for the inside of the globe storing smaller items.

If you're considering it, JUST DO IT!

WOW! I looked at this item several times on amazon before pulling the trigger. It seemed to be highly rated but I was worried because of a very few negative reviews. A few customers complained that the paper strips used on the globe to create the map didn't line up perfectly. Well... they don't. However, I don't plan to use the mini bar for navigation. Lol. Theres lots of art work on the entire bar that does look really cool. From across the room or even up close, IT LOOKS GREAT! It came in maybe a dozen pieces and was easily assembled. My only slight disappointment was when put together, it seemed a bit smaller than what I imagined. Wasn't disappointed for long and quickly got used to the size. Inside I have eight wine glasses and three bottles of liquor. I have four bottles stored on the bottom shelf with room for one or two more. The only other slight negative is that with the lid closed, it didn't line up properly with the bottom half of the globe. I easily fix it. I unscrewed the lid hindge, then set the lid on exactly where it should be when closed, move the hindge over about a quarter inch, and drilled new holes where they should be. Like I said, I only move the hindge over about a quarter inch so the hindge plate even still covered the original holes so you don't see them. It only took maybe ten minutes. Now it closes perfectly. Problem solved. They all may not be the same and you may not even have this slight problem. Usually I'd be upset about having to work to fix something brand new in order to make it right but surprisingly, I didn't mind at all. I'm sure you could find a similar globe bar that has a perfect map but I've been shopping around for a long time for an item like this and trust me, YOU"LL PAY A LOT MORE! For the price, you can't beat this one. Again it's gorgeous and if your looking for one in this price range, don't waste anymore time and just buy this one.

Beautiful Looking, but made for wine, not hard liquor glasses

Really like the elegant look of this bar cart. Not hard to assemble. Wished they had designed it with an optional 2 1/2” - 3” spacer that could rest and raise the standard (3 1/2”) whiskey glass or (4 1/2”) cognac/brandy glass off the bottom. As it sits now, there is a 2”+ gap underneath glasses and those style glasses, sway on top lip, which I presume will chip the wood edge, when taking them in and out. This globe is designed for tall wine glasses, not hard liquor glasses, which in my opinion is a shame. I put my ice bucket in centre of globe, with a towel underneath to stop the condensation from ruining the surface it rest on, as i am not certain of the materials composition.
