Love it!

My mother wanted this little guy so I bought him for her. He's absolutely great and looks like he was meant for our home.

Handsome Fellow!

I love this guy so much! He will be great at freaking out my suburban neighbors. My luck a dove will build a nest on its face, but, I’ll give credit to the bird that has good taste. Just hope my cat give the same respect. Bigger than I expected (no girl is ever upset by this) and much lighter than you would think for his size. When I read that it was hand painted, I was surprised to see the “Made in China” sticker on the back, but I do not care, it. I guess it could have been hand painted in China. Not that the description says anything about where it is made, just a huh moment. I just got him today, so I don’t know how he will survive outside in the south Texas heat, but hopeful.

Amazing Detail

Wow, this statue is amazing ! Larger and more detailed then expected. It is a highlight in my home and receives many compliments.

Pretty cool looking "Catgoyle"

If you want a gargoyle for your garden to protect and watch over you and love cats this is a really cool ornament to get. Its very big; its at least 3 feet long and about a foot wide at it's broadest part. This is something that will be noticeable unless put on something similar in color then it will fade somewhat in the background. The material says its a mix of stone and resin. I am not sure what kind of stone but these feels similar to a auto "apoxi" that has fibers in it. Its not plastic but it isn't plaster either. I have had plaster garden statues before and they need special mounting, and brackets and often get broken from weather, children, etc. I have also had the ultra light weight plastic ones that fade in color the crack. This is something in-between. It isn't all that heavy maybe 10 lbs so re reinforcements to walls needs to be done it is also heavy enough that you don't need to add sand or water to keep it in place. The box says its treated for sun, only time will tell. No fading as of yet. The paint job is very well done, it looks statuesque like real plaster. Overall for the price you can't really beat this garden item.

Beautiful & long-shows up from. distance

This is long and beautiful! He should definitely help keep the evil spirits away, and I noticed my cats were even afraid of him at first. I liked it so much I wanted to put it in my bedroom, but we've put him on the side of the house instead so more people can see it. I think during the cold months when we might have some freezing, I will put him in the bedroom on my lacquered red wall to protect him. He has a place built into him for hanging on a well-placed nail. He's generally long and smooth, with a very tan color. He has excellent details, and the smoothness of his finish almost looks like salamander skin over sleek muscles. He looks much heavier than he is, although I would not say he's light. I would classify him as light to medium and one nail in a stud holds him fine in a very sheltered location. The only downside does it he needs to be laying flat against something because his underside is flat. For instance, I thought about putting him on the outside of a tree that we have built into a deck but the tree was too round for him to look right. He's much better on the side of a wall.

Looks good, solid.

This is one of the better pieces I've ordered from Design Toscana and it looks just as good in front of you as it does in the photos. It's a bit heavy but it's solid and should wear well outside in the weather. The color looks great and is evenly and cleanly painted. It comes with a single anchor to hang it on the wall but it is a sturdy mount. We added two other small ones that are hard to see to support the legs. It really looks good and people comment on it all the time.

wunderschön ...

obwohl ambivalente reaktionen kommen - ein gargoyle ist ein wächter, der dämonen verscheuchen soll, ein catgoyle - naja da hat sich ein gargoyle mit einer katze gepaart - ich find das ergebnis topp - hängt bei mir im wohnzimmer, das tierchen, welches eine imposante größe hat, sieht eher verschreckt denn gefährlich aus :)
