Not as heavy as he looks!

Bought this gnome last month. When I received it I was surprised at how light it was compared to other gnomes I have or have looked at in garden centers. It certainly is a cute gnome, if a naked pudgy man with nothing but an inner tube covering his frontal display is cute to you.. Fortunately my wife finds that look cute. I bought him to sit by our pool in Florida looking like he was about to make the plunge. The look is great but the weight is a problem. He is made from a resin and sand material and is hollow. He weighs about two pounds. Similar gnomes his size usually weigh about five pounds or more. This became an issue recently when on a gusty day our gnome blew over and into the pool. Before I noticed his plight he had acquired a significant amount of water apparently through two pin holes, one at the top of his hat and one by his eye. Well, he now had put on the weight I hope for BUT he was mostly filled with water that I couldn't get out. He was propped up standing on his head for two days with minimal results. (Quite a sight though from the kitchen window being mooned by little fat guy in a red hat) As a last resort I drilled a hole in the bottom of one of his feet and out drained all the weight he had put on. Now he is not allow to stand next to the pool until I come up with something to fill his internal cavity with so his weight can handle a 20mph gust. For cuteness he is five star, for construction I give him only three. Resolved: issue of weight solved by adding three pounds of lead shot and a tube of caulk through the hole I drilled in his foot. Now nothing short of a hurricane will topple him.

Hilarious!!

I ordered this for my garden but put it on my brothers desk before he got home from work. He was in a terrible mood (because he delivers mail in the winter and it was cold and wet). When he came around the corner he busted up laughing. I mentioned it to him later and he started chuckling again. The naked swimmer gnome is the best! He could use a little more weight to keep him stable in the wind. I may drill out the hole in his foot and fill him with sand. He will be perfect for my Koi pond.

Cute and sturdy

This is a sturdy garden decoration and a cute addition for some yards. Given as a gift and she loved it. It's doing quite well in her garden through rain, snow and severe cold.

Great gift

I bought this for my friends who love gnomes and just moved into a house with a pool. They LOVED it and laughed so hard. Well worth the money spent! It arrived packaged very well to prevent breakage and the colors were bright. A total win!

Cute and Unique, Pool Party Gnome

This cheeky, pool party Gnome is so unique and cute. This is actually the second Gnome the seller shipped out. The first Gnome arrived after 8 days, broken. I contacted the seller and the customer service I received was beyond exceptional! The seller was very courteous and promptly shipped out a replacement Gnome. This time the Gnome arrived within 2 days! With his green, duckie floatie and goggles, this Gnome is all ready to make a splash and enjoy summer Fun in the Sun!

There's no place like Gnome

We’ve never had a garden gnome. Whilst she has distributed a variety of ornaments around, the much loved garden gnome has been missing. Until now, sort of. This happy gent reminds me a bit of Father Christmas on his summer holiday, what with his white beard, red hat, fat face, prominent tummy and somewhat bulbous nose. A closet nudist perhaps, as that’s just what this little fella is, with just a green rubber ring to conceal his own little fella – then again, who knows what Santa gets up to outside his few annual working hours. Turn him round and he really is a cheeky chappy. Look closely and you’ll see the duck on the ring has its own white beard too. A nice touch that not only compliments but also seems to bring out the bright colours. Considering his size, he does seem to be rather expensive but he is a talking point and was thought of as a member of the family for a few days. Then some git must have decided he needed adopting and pinched him.
