Delighted with how much it helped our rosacea and eczema.

Since we are all individuals, what might be great for me might not be so great for you, so I will describe my skin. I'm in my late-thirties, and I have sensitive, pale olive combination skin with mild rosacea on the apples of my cheeks that can flare up. I have an oily T-zone and very dry cheeks, with a couple of fine lines around my eyes. I've used anti-aging products since my early twenties to reverse sun damage from a childhood spent on a tropical island, but with rosacea, some of my former favorites are no longer an option for me. This was my first Derma-e product ever. I bought it during a particularly virulent flare-up of rosacea that left me with raised, flaming red patches of stinging skin on both of my cheeks. I went to the dermatologist first, but since I have the kind of rosacea with no bumps or acne, she told me that she couldn't recommend any of the creams available as they would not help me. I went home and scoured the online forums for any over the counter product that could (quickly) help, since I work in customer service and didn't want to frighten anybody with my blotchy, tomato-red face. Somebody recommended this, and I bought it in sheer desperation, along with some other products from Derma-e. I noticed that my skin calmed down/cooled almost instantly when I applied Age-Defying Night Crème with Astaxanthin and Pycnogenol. I took the jar to work and reapplied whenever I felt my face growing hot. By evening, I noticed a significant improvement (the red patches were no longer raised), so I continued my treatment. By the fifth evening, my skin had returned to normal. I was delighted and continued using the cream, both as a preventative measure for my rosacea and also because I loved how smooth and baby-faced it made the rest of my skin look. I used the entire jar but didn't immediately reorder, since I had also bought a jar of Derma-e's Hyaluronic Acid Night Cream, which worked well in the absence of flaring rosacea. Recently, my son was teething and had a constant river of drool irritating his chin and chest. None of the usual things helped, and he had started picking at his face, leaving bleeding spots and scratches. To my horror, the spots became full-blown eczema that spread all over his face and chest, leaving him constantly scratching and looking worse by the hour. I do not really want to use steroid creams on him, barring an emergency situation, so once again, I scoured my online forums for help. I was surprised to read that another mother had very successfully used this same cream on her 6-year old daughter's severe eczema. I immediately placed an order through Amazon Prime and had a new jar the following day. We put the cream on my son while he slept, as he wipes anything that we try to apply right off. By the third day, the red, irritated skin in between the spots he had was back to its usual smooth whiteness, and he was no longer scratching. By the end of the week, most of his spots were gone. We plastered him with the cream from head to toe after each bath for two weeks, going through two jars of the product, as he had very dry spots on his back and legs that he was starting to scratch and irritate. By the end of those two weeks, he had smooth, perfect skin with no scarring or any other sign of the problems that he had. I giggled at using Age-Defying Night Creme on a two-year old, but the results spoke for themselves. This product is now a permanent staple in my medicine cabinet, and I've been using it regularly for about a year. As for the Age-Defying aspect, I've found that it seems to plump my skin up and minimize my fine lines. They are still there, but you really have to look closely to see them. My skin is now far more even than formerly, with no dry, flaky patches. I still have rosacea, but it is controlled to the point that I look rosy-cheeked and healthy, not red and irritated. I've also tried the Day Crème but feel that the Night Crème has a stronger positive effect on me. I've been tempted to try other products in the Derma-e family, but this one has been so successful for my son and for me that for now, I will stay with what works. By the way, the creme is orange and has a fruity/carroty smell that doesn't seem to bother me at all, despite my trouble with fragrance. I don't know what makes it orange, but that seems to be what makes it work. I had a little left in the bottom of an old jar and peeked at it before I tossed it out...and the creme had turned white. The Day Creme is also a lot less orange (and seem less effective.) Thank you very much for reading my review!

Good moisturizer

This is a good moisturizer at an economical price tag. I've used several jars and am quite pleased. Good moisturizing ability with no discernible scent. I really like the Derma-E brand. Will be buying again.

Works for undereye wrinkles

It’s a liquid, and it made my eyes puffy.

When you read “eye gel cream,” I think it’s fair to expect a gel or a cream. This is a liquid, bizarrely packaged in an applicator that seems to have been made for lip gloss, with an angled tip. So unless you want to drag it across the delicate skin around your eye (impossible if you’re trying to get it around the brow), you have to squirt the liquid onto your finger. There’s no way to do this without it running all over your fingers and wasting a ton of product. I’ve been using this off and on for weeks and still can’t understand what the product creators or package designers were thinking. But I’d put up with all that if it worked. Instead, I’ve noticed that any time I use it, the next morning the skin above my right eye is very obviously puffy. You might think “why are you putting it in the area above your eyelid,” but that’s supposed to be fine with Retinol products specifically marketed for the eye area. That skin loses elasticity, and it’s supposed to be good to use Retinol there—but this is NOT the thing to use. (I’ve never had an issue with other Retinol products, and I even use prescription tretinoin (Retin-A) on the rest of my face without issue. But that’s a more intense product not recommended for the eye area.) There are better options out there, for sure. I’m going back to RoC.

Finally!

I have dry crepe undereyes. I have tried lots of different undereye creams bit nothing has ever really made much of a difference. I was already using Derma E skin repair cream and I really liked it so I decided to give this a try. I have to say that Derma E products are probably the only products I've ever used on ny face that I can actually tell a difference! I feel like I've found a hidden gem!

Not. A. Cream

As another reviewer pointed out the eye "cream" is in a tube that seems better suited for just that... a CREAM what I received is a clear runny liquid that becomes sticky (though it does go away). Unsure about the validity of erasing wrinkles, will update, just had to rant about the ridiculous applicator and false description.

I don't look like an old person.

I'm always tired and have dark circles under my eyes. I love this stuff. It helps with the dark circles and with under eye wrinkles. I am constantly being told I look younger than I am. I wholeheartedly believe it's because of my dedication to under eye care

Good for me.

I like this cream. I haven't analysed the contents but love the natural ingredients listed and Astaxanthin is apparently good for skin. Personally I like the texture and the non greasy consistency. It is quickly absorbed. It feels nice and I do think my skin has benefited. Im not a connoisseur of skin creams, I came across this when researching Astaxanthin as a beneficial oral supplement.

a good product even for oily skin

I wanted to buy a moisturiser which contains astaxanthin but was initially unsure about this one as I have oily blemish prone skin, even more so when it arrived and I felt the texture of the cream, which is very light (and a beautiful orangey-peach colour). On application it is easily and quickly absorbed and skin feels immediately softer and if left on overnight it DOES leave a softer skin WITHOUT excess oiliness. I don't actually expect a cream to get rid of wrinkles, but I believe that this cream is helping to repair my skin and minimise blotchiness.

Wrinkles magic.

Amazing!!!! It is must have if you have wrinkles. I'm 30 years old and before I started using this cream I had massive wrinkle between my eyebrows. After 3 weeks it's gone. It smell like a baby cream from my childhood, very nice.
